Oh, and add that apparently the Carlos Beltran's niece Twitter account, that keeps dropping news, is supposedly a burner account for an unnamed player! And Beltran himself apparently has a burner account as well. Between Mehta, Gase, Beltran's niece... I wonder how many Twitter burner accounts Shakin has? Lolz...he has one and he doesnt hold back. possibly

Meh...they won fairly recently.and that Chara dude seemed shifty. So theres that. Mets got hammered and they havent won shit. Because the mets. Lets not forget Red Auerbach and the strategically located "dead spots" on the Garden parquet. Lucky leprechaun indeed. And FYI Chara is part cyborg. I know a guy who knows a guy who knew a guy who said they built the Bruins ice on inflatable shock absorbers, like you’d see on trucks, in order to guarantee the ice is level. However he also said you could quickly adjust it to tilt the ice a little bit towards either end.

The truly sad thing from a Mets perspective, is that Van Wagonen is insisting they didnt ask Beltran about Houston AT ALL during the hiring process, and not until this week.
He's either a moron, or a liar. Cohen can't take over fast enough and hopefully get rid of all these clowns.

The Choen take is spot on, however, this current teams stars, Degrom, Polar Bear, will all be either traded away or past primes.

I think Brody has come to realize he isnt long for this job and will go back to kissing players asses in hopes of returning as an agent. But as fucked as the Mets are, they are getting new ownership very soon. Wish I could say the same for the Jets.

Brody stammered about time frames and such then cut Evan off before he could follow up. Not a good look. Gotta figure the Wilpons and Brody knew but didnt care..or that Brody kept it from the Wilpons and they are fuming at this whole thing behind the scenes.

The sad thing is the Mets have some decent talent coming into the season. Rosario, McNeil, Alonso, Cespedes, Conforto... they've got some bats. And decent pitching if the bullpen settles down.

wgntv.com/2020/01/17/report-jack-mcdowell-claims-80s-white-sox-manager-tony-la-russa-cheated-with-camera/Former White Sox Pitcher and 1993 AL Cy Young winner Jack McDowell has claimed the Sox used a camera to steal signs in the ‘80s, Sporting News reports. While speaking to WFNZ in Charlotte Friday, McDowell alleged the White Sox installed a camera in the outfield to zoom in on opposing catchers. Additionally, he claimed a light in an outfield Gatorade sign would let hitters know which pitches were coming.“I’m going to whistle-blow this thing now because I’m getting tired of this crap,” McDowell told WFNZ. McDowell went on to say the the light could be controlled from the manager’s office and that Tony La Russa, manager of the Sox from 1979 to ’86, was the one who installed the alleged system. “He was also the head of the first team with people doing steroids,” McDowell said. “Yet he’s still in the game making half a million. No one’s gonna go after that.”
After the 1986 season, the year before McDowell debuted, La Russa left Chicago to manage the A’s. Known steroid users Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco starred for the A’s during La Russa’s tenure. McDowell told WFNZ that illegal sign stealing has been going on for decades, but MLB, players and coaches allegedly looked the other way. “Nobody wants to throw anybody under the bus,” he said. The allegations come during a tumultuous week for Major League Baseball. Astros manager A.J. Hinch, Red Sox manager Alex Cora and Mets manager Carols Beltran all lost their jobs due to allegations the Astros used a camera to steal signs. McDowell, an excellent starting pitcher for the White Sox, won 20 games in 1992 and 22 in 1993. Because of his efforts in ’93, he was awarded the AL Cy Young Award. He currently coaches Queens University of Charlotte.

McDowell is spot on with the comments below - back in the day, someone was stealing signs, they'd purposely call for a curveball and park a fastball in your ear. Nowadays, you come close, and get tossed.
