Maybe they could use a versatile safety...

The caption on the picture of Luke they chose for the article reads “Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack (25) runs past Carolina Panthers' Luke Kuechly (59)” they couldn’t have found a better picture to use for this one?

I think he just wants to come to the jets and this seems to be the route you take to get paid

Great player. Had a couple of nasty concussions and tons of collisions in 8 years. I am not shocked by these "early" retirements anymore. These guys make a ton of money now.
He made $60 million in his career. If he played another 4 years or so how much more would he make versus the toll on his body? Another $40 million?
The difference between having 60 and 100 million doesnt change your life much.

Tons of TV time. I bet he made 5-10 million a year off the field the last 5 years so money is not an issue. He has been beaned badky alot the last 3 years. I do not blame him for walking away. I do hope it makes a OL slide to us at 11 for sure.

And Larry Fitzgerald re-ups for another year with the Cardinals.
I’m not sure why.

60M career earnings and walking away healthy... sounds like a great retirement plan.

And Larry Fitzgerald re-ups for another year with the Cardinals. I’m not sure why. 12-15 million for the year.

And Larry Fitzgerald re-ups for another year with the Cardinals. I’m not sure why. That'll be a 17th year FFS - that's nuts. That'll eclipse famous Ex-Jet Art Monk's 16 seasons and boy did he look old back then.....
