12-15 million for the year. I guess. But guy's made $175M. How much is enough? Doubt he is still playing for money. It helps, no question but he probably enjoys the camaraderie and as long as his body is holding up then why not. I think with guys like Luck and Kuechly they were already suffering from permanent damage. Makes it a lot harder to keep going.

The sopne met him once, said he was great guy. Sopne helped move Lukes sister into University of South Carolina. Or out. I forget which. Daaaaaang bro?! Sopme was boning the Keukly sis?!? No, take it easy Sparky. Mutual friend. The sis had roomate issues and needed to move pronto, sopne was asked, showed up and was shocked to see Luke there too. Cool story for a sports nut. Great player. Had a couple of nasty concussions and tons of collisions in 8 years. I am not shocked by these "early" retirements anymore. These guys make a ton of money now. He made $60 million in his career. If he played another 4 years or so how much more would he make versus the toll on his body? Another $40 million? The difference between having 60 and 100 million doesnt change your life much.

And Larry Fitzgerald re-ups for another year with the Cardinals. I’m not sure why. That'll be a 17th year FFS - that's nuts. That'll eclipse famous Ex-Jet Art Monk's 16 seasons and boy did he look old back then..... 17 years already? Holy shit I'm old.

I remember watching him play at Pitt like it was yesterday. Fuck, I remember watching Peyton play at Tennessee and never being able to beat Florida.

I guess with Larry Fitz, he's been lucky to stay pretty healthy and not have concussion issues.
These linebackers getting out at 28, 29, 30, i get - they're beat up. Luck, same thing, made good money, he was banged up, smart to hang it up.
Gronk... well, Gronk is Gronk.

Made his money, got out before the game wrecked his health. Good for him.
