Rex's Sanchez tattoo is going to look even more ridiculous in 2016 when he's the DC for the Cowboys.

I wonder how different the Jets would be today if for the past 5 seasons they had no scouting department and simply watched ESPN during the draft and selected one of the players from the best players remaining on the Kiper's big board.

He filled the area scouting positions, but the only real significant hire was Rod Graves who he made Senior Director of Football Administration. How Bradway has kept a job in the Jets scouting department and front office for 15 years is a mystery to me. That's the first position I make a change at if I'm the new GM. The hiring of Graves was a significant move. The guy was the GM of the Cardinals for over a decade and had three winning seasons there. And that's who Idzik hired to be his main advisor in helping select players. That seems to be the single biggest move responsible for the debacles known as idzik's drafts. It looks like the scouting department has actually gotten worse since this move was made. Idzik realized he needed help with player evaluation but he can't even pick someone who can help him pick the right players. Not really, the Director of College Scouting is more of a right hand man when it comes to the draft.

The scouting has actually gotten worse. If it was Bradway it would have at least stayed the same.

I would find it hard to believe that Idzik isn't leaning on the guy HE promoted to Director of College scouting. That makes no sense. Typically a GM leans on the Director of College Scouting and the coaching staff when it comes to the draft. Graves, given his experience as a GM was most likely involved in pro scouting and aquiring free agents.
