Interested to see what you guys say...
I'm going with:
GM: Eric DeCosta - asst GM Ravens... Regional scout who worked his way up. Don't know how he isn't a GM already. HC: Harbaugh - why not? And it doesn't hurt that the new GM has connections to the Harbaughs QB: Mariota/Winston and Locker competition. Like Mariota better, but not against Winston coming here either. Like Locker in Harbaugh's system even though he cant stay on the field. Could be serviceable if he stays healthy as a system fit like Sanchez is now with Chip Kelly.
I'd like to hear your opinions about who you'd like to see here.

I don't think Idzik's getting fired, so...
Idzik/Malzahn/Mariota

A scenario like that would probably be the only way I wouldn't be irritated with Harbaugh here. Mainly because of the seemingly qualified GM candidate with the connections already in place. Don't wanna see a rookie starting ever again. I've had enough of these damn rooks who aren't ready and just suck anyways. Can't get much worse than Geno tho so tough spot. We need to pick up one of these JAG game managers as soon as the best FIT becomes available.

I agree with you. Don't like the idea of a rookie HC and QB together week 1. I'm ready to have some experienced people in house running the show on the field. I'm a Locker fan for some reason and don't think he gets enough credit since he's always hurt. Do you have any JAGs you like better than others?

Tom Heckert...GM Adam Gase....HC Marcus Mariota...QB
I could certainly be optimistic about that combo.

Idzik isn't going anywhere so I'll just leave him in there.

Gamble, Shaw, Mariota, although I don't see how the jets obtain Mariota without handcuffing the rebuild

Usually when you bring in someone with "experience" they fucked up on their last job and got fired. I'm not really understanding what's so bad about a rookie HC. I'd rather take a shot at an innovative young guy who has the potential to be great over some rehashed has-been. And I'd be totally on board with signing someone like Bradford or Locker to start the season while Mariota learns from the bench.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to get our own innovate offensive rookie head coach in here, but in my opinion, a coach who has done it before would be better at fixing this mess that is currently the New York Jets. I completely get your comment about coaches being fired from other places is not what you'd like to see, but some of the best coaches in the NFL today were fired from other places to have success where they currently are. ie Caroll, Fox, Andy Reid, and Belidick, to name a few off of the top of my head.

Also, I wrote out the name of the Pats head coach and it changed to Clitoral Hoodie. Hysterical and genius.

Ideally? Polian/Harbaugh/Mariota.
Polian isn't coming here though. Harbaugh can pick whoever he wants to be his boss for all I care as long as he's coaching.

I know I'm goin to get my throat cut for this but I'm just that damn honest....
I'm more down on Rex than Idzik. This roster is far more talented then Tannys roster between in 11, 12, and it was his in 13 because of the cap constraints against Idzik when he came in.
Here's why.....
Like Amaro.
Like the Ivory trade.
Ditto Harvin trade.
G-Nope was worth a punt and good value at the pick.
Like Sheldon.
I still think Milliner and Pryor work out.
Aboushi.
Decker was best FA WR pickup.
Vick is better depth than Brunell.
Sorted our cap to rectify errors.
Did not overpay for mediocrity in DRC and Howard.
Still can't judge Shaq and Dex.
Better special teams depth. showed Revis the organisation is bigger than the player.
No doubt Idzik has had some bumps in the road but overall I think this roster is in better shape than under Tanny and can still be upgraded due to a healthy cap situation.
Idzik is an easy scapegoat because he is an ugly buctooth boring fucker, meanwhile the man who was part of the problem Idzik was hired to rectify is still getting off Scott free with no accountability.
This GM deserves his own coach, just my opinion but I'm all about giving people a fair shake.

This Idzik deserves his fair share of the blame, but the people who are acting like he intentionally sabotaged Rex are just goofy. What truly amazes me is that there are people who STILL want Rex to be retained. 4 straight years without making the playoffs, still routinely making the same dumbass clock management mistakes, always has the team come out flat and unprepared coming off a bye week or a big win, can't develop a young QB to save his life, etc. And there are seriously people who want to brink this fucking mook back and give him another chance under a 3rd GM and oversee the development of a 3rd young QB? People are fucking stupid We have a sizable portion of this fanbase that wants to cling to Rex forever just because he's a down to earth, relatable guy.
