My parents didn't celebrate Christmas. Sucked at the time...but now seems brilliant. I agree. Do you celebrate it or tolerate it with your family?

The wife a several rubbermaid containers for each holiday. 4 for xmas, 1 for Thanksgiving, 3 for Halloween, 1 for New years, 1 for Mardi Gras, 2 for Easter, 1 for Valentine's Day, 1 for St Patrick's Day. I have nothing to do with any of it. But the kiddos love it. I buy each kid a good gift and get her something. But it's hard for people to understand that I really don't care, the "holidays" hold absolutely NO significance to me and I don't get any joy from hanging ornaments on a tree or any of the other stuff. Now...the food? Hell yes. To me Thanksgiving >>>>>>>>>>>>> than all the rest of the holidays.

We're not christian, but the parents always put up a fake tree and presents for my bro and I. Best one will always be this: It was the last time I got what I really wanted (cuz then I got older and asked for more elaborate things/got older and my parents decided that getting me math and science games was more appropriate/useful for my age)

I want to hear what Savage got at Christmas, a Joe Namath jersey ? A wheel. They had just been invented.

Sounds like my wife. She has giant bins for each holiday's decorations, its ridiculous. But I love Christmas. The one thing my wife doesn't get is that I don't want or need a lot of presents. I've got what I need, and dont want a lot. Id rather one or two thoughtful gifts and that's it. But she loves going nuts giving presents and thinks Im full of crap.

Big Wheel was awesome, with the hand brake so you could do all kinds of spin outs.

That was on Pawnstars not to long ago. Damn'nation, Wish I had the awareness to squire that toy away for a few decades Probably every toy any of us had back in the 70s and 80s would be worth something.... .... if we didnt beat the crap out of them playing with them. But that was the fun part. I have boxes of star wars toys in my attic, probably worth nothing.
