Forget the giants..... this is the worst season in my time. At least in the kotite days there was some talent to be had. We were always in games and coming up short thisvteamed shit and fucked sanchez big time. We should have built around him offensively, but his development was foresaken. Now he will be in playoffs and we will be doing the usual things in january such as masturbating to gaybporn and trying to pick up middle aged drunk midgets in seedy bars. Oh fuck yea, its great at first but in the morning the array of sadness is unbearable Those poor Florida children. Actually on second thought, nobody cares about florida children. You're just the man for the job, Lil Dickie

The giants being a joke actually makes the season less painful. I'd prefer this to the Jets going 8-8 and watching the Giants win another Super Bowl.

My initial reaction to the question is that the Kotite years were worse. But the more I think about it, they are very comparable. Each downward spiral semed to turn on one play. First the fake spike the other with the Victor Cruz touchdown. I was a big fan of Pete Carrolls and was pissed when he got shipped out. The Victor Cruz TD is worse in some ways because it led to the toughest to stomach of all SB matchups Giants-PAts. If you take away the few late season wins last year that led to the locker room theatrics after the last game these past two seasons, on the field are pretty similar to the Kotite years. The big difference is Rex has personality and for every fan that hates him there are two (including me) that love him. Everybody hated Kotite, not only was he a looser, he was a stiff.

If I'm comparing our situation as fans 2014 to 1996, I think it's worse now. About this time in 1996, we pretty much knew Parcells was heading our way the next year with an all-star coaching staff coming along with him. A few days ago, we just read an article from Gary Myers where our owner said he's not quite sure on what he wants to do going forward....with only 3 weeks left in the season.

I don't recall anyone knowing Parcells was going to be our head coach. Parcells was still under contract with the Pats. We hired Bellichick as HC of NYJ and Parcells was hired as an advisor. It wasn't until after league mediation and surrendering a drat pick to the Pats that Parcells became coach and Bellichick was uncerimoniously demoted after two weeks. Probably the reason he hates the Jets with such a passion.
