I've been impressed with the job he's done in St Louis with a 3rd string QB, I think he's maturing as a coach, he was once a red hot up and coming head coach prospect who had a lot of support around the league, he's done a good enough job to put him back on the map as a head coaching candidate? And I love Jeff Fisher, so I think Schotty has rehabilitated his career working for a guy like Fisher.
What about a Schotty return, and his father coming with him as the new President of football operations? Woody could buy that. I'm not sure if Schotty Sr ever thought of running a football operation, but I would think he comes with a ton of resources and support that he could bring with him.
A bit of a fantasy type of discussion, meaning, it's a move that is out-of-the-box, but if Idzik is let go, and I'm one to think it's too early to pull the plug, but short of bringing a Harbaugh, and the only way he comes is if he's offered more power than he has now in SF, I would think we would want a reputable replacement for Idzik who would come much the same way Parcells did as a president.
You could make an argument Mike Holmgren would fit this bill as well.
I just wonder if Schotty Jr is improving his stock as a HC candidate.
Short of Razor in Miami, and Kelly at ND, I think I could support a Schotty Jr return...

Am I the only one that doesn't want Harbaugh?
Not sure I want Schotty Sr and Jr either.

I vote yes. Sanchez is a free agent too, we should bring them both back. Anyone know what Thomas Jones is doing these days? We need to get the whole gang back together.

Please no to anyone named Schottenheimer. Maybe we can dust off Don Shula too. Time to look forward, not retread previous failures or guys wearing Depends.

No retreads, no former coaches....new perspectives are needed around here.
