I see everyone watching the top two QB's and after that, a huge falloff in talent with Brett Hundley securing himself of no higher than a 2nd round prospect and a mediocre one at that having managed 10 points in the biggest game of his career at home vs Stanford. And Petty can't read defenses and struggles with accuracy and deep balls. Another poor option. Not a good draft for QB's as last year was and obviously, 2012 wasn't. It's luck of the draw sometimes, nothing more.
My question is what do fans here expect the Jets to do if both Mariota and Winston are gone? What is plan B? The Jets cannot go into another season with G-Nope as the #1 - we all know this. But what options are out there? Sign Matt Moore who seems to be the best of the FA QB's? Make a trade? RGIII has been linked to our need but if Jay Gruden nor Shanahan can get through to him, why would anyone else expect a change? And if trading for RGIII, what would we have to give up?
Just throwing this out there as it's very possible we don't get one of those two QB's (only on which I think can help) at the top of the draft.

Draft Amari Cooper then suck again the next season for the top rated QB then. It's a vicious cycle but we need stability at our QB position. Stability meaning a franchise QB.
In this scenario, I'd sign a QB looking to prove himself still (ie. Sam Bradford) to a 1 or 2 yr deal for the time being.

The Cardinals have gotten by pretty well without a franchise QB for a while now. Old guys like Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner have been plenty good for them because they're well coached and have a solid team.
If Mariota isn't there when we pick and someone like Cooper is. Pick Cooper. That or the best available o-line guy.

If no qb - cb/lb/ol in first round - so many holes on this team it's not gonna matter.

We've wasted enough early round picks on it and look where we are. We're fielding a horrible secondary - most of the guys back there should be greeters at a Walmart.
I'm fine with drafting on the offensive side of the ball - just make it OL please.

Our secondary is pathetic - there's no denying that.
Hopefully one of milliner or mcdougle will be ready to go. Spend some big money on a free agent corner - there are always some decent ones available. Field the rest of the cb depth through either cheaper free agency signings or late round picks. We've wasted two first round picks on corners in the last 5 years and both look like busts. One is definitely a bust and needs to be off the team next year.
Cooper or o-line help is what i'm hoping for if it's not mariota.
