I climb the dumb thing in the gym from time to time when im being an asshole and making my wife laugh.100 pound heavy bag is where its at southside and a speed bag. I used to have a 100lb heavy bag. Got some 16 ounce gloves and some MMA gloves too. I used to hit the shit out of that thing when I was really in a bad spot a few years ago. I'd go get it but I have no where to put one right now. I've thought about joining a jujitsu gym too for when I don't want to climb. But I really don't like the whole bullshit reverence that people are expected to dish out at those places. It's so phony. The gym you are talking about, is it just a wall that's part of a big sports club? Those routes are way too easy. And they're nothing but jug holds. Bouldering is so much fun too. Fucking hard but really rewarding. I like to hold jugs.

First off I probably enter a vagina as periodically as JT does.
Second my bench max was 270.
Third, you are correct freestater. My back gets an awesome workout. Right now my hands and are so worthless from last night's climb. I thought about going today but I think I need a rest day.

When you're at the regular gym, try doing some palm-down curls. That really helped all those little gripping muscles in my forearm for me.

When you're at the regular gym, try doing some palm-down curls. That really helped all those little gripping muscles in my forearm for me. I used to do those a lot. So far since I joined my regular gym a few months ago I haven't done too much weight lifting. I just don't want to do the heavy lifting anymore. The injuries and the bulking ... meh, I'm just trying to get real lean muscle now. More athletic than jersey shore. Long story short, I don't think I'm going to do isolation exercises at the gym anymore outside of bench and shoulders. Plus, climbing just destroys those muscles better than the iron used to. It's probably because I'm way out of prime shape though. Just getting back in the gym, I did shoulders for the first time in like 4 years there, and I couldn't move my arms without pain for about 3 days.

What's this thread about? Nothing a fatty should concern himself with. Although they hold birthday parties there so if/when I talk about cake I guess your opinion should be warranted.

I couldn't get 275 so shut it! Haha, that was a while ago. I quit maxing. I used to work out with 215 3x5's. The funny thing is that I developed those gains in my home gym. I had a powertec bench with squat rack and I used to lift by myself. Turned around the squat stops and used them to keep the bar just at my chest level. Also kept me from cheating by bouncing the weight.

Now that I think about it, I might have been at 275 and couldn't get 280. I don't know, that was 4 years ago. Like I said, I kind of fell out of love with lifting heavy like that. It hurts your body and tendons. Lots of damage from that. And it's unnecessary. I like doing total body lifts now and moving my body weight through space which is why I really like rock climbing just for the muscle exercise of it. Guys like Bruce Lee and Hershel Walker did those types of workouts. Hershel is still a fucking beast. Says he's never lifted iron in his life. Nothing but situps, pushups, pullups, etc...

... it's hard to wipe my ass sometimes... tearing ... raw... and I love the shit out of it... throw around terms like smear, beta, push, take, etc... There's nothing worse than not being able to get the pink colored routes though...your ass. It sucks... Who else humps the rock?
