I understand. But my point was that you very well may be food for worms before the Jets get another Lombardi. So it may do you some good to set your sites a bit lower. Then my epitaph will read "Fuck You Joe Namath" Good point. I don't think I would be a Jets fan if it weren't for Joe.

Seriously if you're going to that fossil Warner Wolf as a reference you're going to get flamed. Anyone can look up those Heisman winner stats and figure that out. It doesn't mean that EVERY Heisman winner has been bad. No one her is going to get a boner of beating a bad Titans team, except you and Rex. If meaningless wins at the end of the year keep Rex (doubtful) and Idzik (maybe) here I don't want them. Let the losses mount so Woody WILL clean house and start over. If you want to make a point it would come across with more effectiveness if you would address the content of what someone said, rather than making an impudent comment about his age, which is completely irrelevant. His point, which anyone could have looked up but he actually did, is that in the 80 years of the Heisman only 3 QB Heisman winners ever did anything in the NFL. That fact alone shows how futile it is to throw games in the current season merely for a chance at a QB who likely will be an NFL dud. So it should give anyone who actually wants the Jets to lose a good reason to feel differently. Impudent comment....this whole place is about impudent comments, if you didn't get the memo. I did address the content, not all Hesiman winners are busts, anyone can figure that out, certainly don't need someone like Warner Wolf to point it out. Even if we don't get a QB, a higher draft pick generally assures us of higher quality talent in general without having to move up in the draft.

But the notable exception is Heisman QB winners. Almost guaranteed to disappoint. And that was the whole point of citing Wolf's comment.
