www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/8357/rex-ryanBleacher Report's Jason Cole reports a "couple of sources" reiterated that Rex Ryan to the Falcons as their head coach "seems natural." This isn't the first we've seen a Rex-to-Atlanta rumor. Ryan interviewed for the head-coaching job that Mike Smith eventually got in 2008. Now, Smith is likely out. The Falcons recently made the switch to a 3-4 defense. While the offense is in fine shape only needing a piece or two, the defense needs an overhaul. Nobody has ever doubted Ryan's coaching ability. He just needs to find the right guy to run the offense. Cole reports the Falcons would try to keep OC Dirk Koetter on staff. Dec 19 - 11:23 AM Source: Jason Cole on Twitter

Good luck to him. I was a Rex supporter, but can't back what I've seen the last two years.
Also, his press conference this week was pretty hilarious. He talked about not being able to watch too much tape of Pats* games because he was offended by Brady dropping the F bomb like 5 times on camera. Said he thought there'd be a hefty fine from the league, but apparently not.
LOL. He's an awesome troll and will definitely be missed in that regard. I hope he actually chooses to do TV instead. That would be awesome. Ragu should extend him a Hampur invite.

How reliable is Bleachers Report?
Jason Cole just pulled a "Manish" with his "couple of sources" crap.

Best place for him IMO.
Matt Ryan is a developed product. He doesn't have to give a shit about him if he doesn't want to. All he has to worry about is rebuilding that baby shit soft defense ATL has had for years....

And by the time Rex gets his defense in place, Atlanta ' s OL, RB, and WRS not named Julio will be garbage and they will be the 2011 Jets.
Good luck to you Rex. Maybe Dimitroff will tell you to GFY during the draft and you'll have a chance.
That said, Atlanta's GM cut his teeth with the Patriots front office so there is no F'n way he would go for the type of HC that Rex is.

Nobody has ever doubted Ryan's coaching ability.
Uhhhh. he's not a good head coach at all. His offenses among the worst every single year (yes, HIS offense, he is responsible) and his defenses just keep getting worse. Oh, and that pesky "Win/Loss" statistic, that keeps getting worse every year as well.

This doesn't even rise to the level of unsubstantiated rumor. It's barely idle speculation. Sure it seems like a 'natural fit'. So?

Umm... I didn't write that. Not sure how you're quoting me on that.

Does someone need to have a source to say it seems natural?
Dan Quinn to the Jets seems natural. That doesn't mean it's about to happen(but if it does, please remember you heard it here first)

Hard to sell your fanbase on a coach coming from a 3-13 team.

Better win fast....just in time for Matt Ryan to get old and then he can draft all D players and be 3 and 13. He wouldnt even need to go to offensive meetings or special teams.

Blank seems like a guy who'd give Rex a chance.

A very good QB cures lots of problems. ATL seems like a good spot for Rex and a team that he could turn around quickly. Advice to Atlanta, keep Rex away from your offense.
I can see Rex on Day 1 walking into the building and meeting Matt Ryan....."So...you like to hand the ball off by chance?"
