The Jets agree to a trade that would send former starting QB, Ken O'Brien to the Packers in exchange for a 5th round pick.
The trade turned out to have little to no impact on either team. O'Brien would be waived by the Packers at the end of training camp in 1993. He eventually signed with the Eagles and started 4 games for them, going 0-4 in the 1993 season, to close out his career. As for the Jets, they selected WR Kenny Shedd out of Northern Iowa. Shedd would not make the Jets roster, eventually getting to the NFL 3 years later with the Raiders. He caught 16 passes, all for the Raiders, in a 5-year NFL career.
