I think we should all appreciate the efforts of Woody in this regard. He knows what he doesn't know. Last time he leaned (mistakenly) on Korn & Ferry. Now, he is doing it the right way. It is a good sign that Woody does not want to repeat the mistakes of the past. This is actually a good situation for a GM. We know Woody gives his hires a long leash, the Jets have lots of cap space and an owner who is willing to spend $, high draft picks, and he gets to hire his own coaches. If you are a GM candidate who has confidence in your own abilities, the Jets job is ideal.

i don't know casserly's whole resume but I do know and respect he had the balls to go out and draft Mario Williams when the whole world had Reggie bush as the clear cut #1. He didn't cave to public and media pressure and was willing to go out on a limb, who had the better career is debatable but over the first five years I would say Williams was the better player. This story is not eve true. Casserly was a lame duck when this pick was made. Texans had already hired a consultant (sound familiar) who would fire him. No way Casserly was allowed to make that pick. Kubiak made the pick. cant argue because I don't know if your version is true but I do remember casserly catching all the flack for the Williams pick.

I was being sarcastic. Pioli blows but gets ballwashed by media b.c he comes from Pats**. HH thinks the media is going to do a 180 because the Jets hire Casserly I find that hard to believe. You'll see. It's gonna happen.
