Even with a good draft and a few new pieces from free agency, we'll probably be a 4-12 type team next season. I just don't see how we're going to get good QB play based on the available options. So....we can pick up a QB in the 2016 draft.
Go offense with every pick in the 2015 draft. Load up on receivers, offensive linemen.

I know we need offense more than anything, but we'd better adequately address cornerback in free agency if we don't plan on drafting one in the first couple of rounds. I really want us to go after Jameis Winston so that we can get this rebuilding process started. If we have to put off drafting a QB until 2016, though, I can get behind Connor Cook or Christian Hackenberg. They won't come in with the hype of a Mariota or Winston, but their transition to playing in the NFL could be smoother because of their experience in pro-style offenses. If one of those guys comes in for 2016 and has a receiving corps that includes Amari Cooper, Eric Decker, Percy Harvin (on a restructured contract) and Jeremy Kerley, maybe he can have some early success.

I'd like to see the Jets bring in Hoyer or Locker on a prove it type deal. Both have shown they can have success in this league but it's just a matter of staying healthy. Especially for Locker. I could also see the Jets making a move for Foles if the Eagles decide to move on from him and keep Sanchez. I know a lot of people think the Jets will move on from Geno and cut him but that's just not happening. He's too cheap and young with a bunch of experience now. I don't think he's the answer and I don't see him starting but the Jets would be dumb to get rid of his contract at this point. At worst he's a cheap backup. And depending on the coach and new scheme they might think they can get more out of him.
I would like to see the Jets go hard after a solid veteran Guard in FA. No more Willie "Penalty waiting to happen" Colon. We definitely need to go hard after a CB and a cover safety as well. If we can sign a good cover safety then we can play Pryor at SS where he belongs. I'd also like to see the Jets make a play for Jerry Hughes and use him as an edge rusher next to Sheldon or Mo.
I'd like to see Harvin restructured at around $6 million per year over a 3-4 year deal with the ability to cut him after every season and save money. I think if we're at pick 3-5 we will have the opportunity to take Cooper and I would do that in a heartbeat. Cooper-Decker-Harvin-Kerley would be nasty. I'd like to see the Jets bring in a veteran TE and get rid of Cumberland. We need a better blocking TE to be behind Amaro.
The Jets need to fill all of their holes prior to the draft so it will give them the ability to draft for value and it will also insure that they won't be relying on rookies to play at a high level next year. The Jets can fill all of these holes in FA and will have over $50 million in cap space to do so. And the great thing is that they have to spend the majority of it this season to be compliant with the league rules otherwise they get fined I believe.
Oh, and unless we can get Mariota at our pick I'd rather not draft Winston. Too much baggage, too much risk and in my opinion didn't show enough this year to warrant that high of a pick. I'd be ok taking a developmental pick in rounds 3 and back.

I agree that we need to address CB, but in my opinion, that will have to be in free agency, not the draft. We already have a several young, unproven guys in Milliner, McDougle & Williams. Then, considering it is not a great CB class this year -- top 2 CBs coming into the season were Ifo Ekpre Olumu and Marcus Peters. Ekpre Olomu is undersized and probably projects to a nickel at the next level - and then add a torn ACL on top of that and he is no longer a first round prospect. Peters has been suspended from Washington -- his off field issues will have him drop. Maybe we grab a developmental guy in the mid to late rounds, but I would not use a high pick on a CB next year. We need to sign two vet CBs -- they don't need to be superstars, but they at least need to be solid pros that can be counted on to help stabilize the position so we are not completely reliant on the three unproven kids.

Based on Philly sports radio talk heard yesterday the Iggles are more likely to go back to Foles and part with Sanchez, whom they are completely disenchanted with. They are still harboring fantasies about how they can acquire Mariota. They are pretty depressed after having images of Superbowls dancing in their heads just a few weeks ago and some are even starting to turn on Kelly after some of his boneheaded coaching moves like punting on the other team's 40 yard line with 16 seconds remaining in the game.

Yep I thanks to that meaningless win against Tennessee, we can all look forward to Matt Moore or Colt McCoy at QB next year. I'm so excited I can barely contain myself. was screaming for titans to score on that last play...whole block heard it...lol...My god, I thought I was witnessing the Music City Miracle Part 2 there. Dammit, Walls! Why couldn't you have tripped over your own two feet and let him get into the endzone??? Shit.
