Well, I've been saying all along this "bruise" was suspicious and keeping him out way too long so at least there's some confirmation now. But, I am concerned by this because it looked like a fall to the ground the way QB's have previously fallen to the ground millions of times. Not, like it should have caused a shoulder separation or even a bad bruise. Same with Geno's ACL tear, looked like nothing at the time. And, what did they gain by keeping him on the roster instead of IR. He couldn't practice anyway. And oopsie at Decker, I wonder if they scold him for that.

So is it that they are still worried about Pettys shoulder or did Hack show the coaching staff something. I mean it's odd that they didn't want to mess with his mechanics but are giving him starter reps now. Like wouldn't that just reinforce bad habits and make it harder to fix in the off season? I'm confused.

We could win like hell if we cheated nonstop too, but we are too honest

Ifind it odd that Hack is getting any first team reps as I find it unlikely he will even dress for Cleveland.
I suppose they are trying to maintain a QB competition.

Ideal scenario--Bowles names Petty the backup, we go out and destroy the Browns--up by 28 at the end of the third quarter and petty gets his feet wet in the 4th quarter.

My Ideal scenario.
Petty gets the start against Cleveland and destroys them, takes the Jets on a undefeated streak and leads them to their 2nd Super Bowl, and continues to dominate the NFL with the Jets for the next 15 years.

That's a wet dream, I was trying to be realistic. Bowles is going to start Fitz for at least 2 more weeks. But yeah I'm with you, would love to see Petty take over NOW and excel. _
