I wouldn't restrict lurking (i.e. forcing people to register in order to read the board). Many people are lazy and won't go through the effort of registering, even though it's simple. The board is too new to restrict access like that IMO. Also, seems that half the posters are mods, which is kinda odd. Last, profanity doesn't offend me at all. But many of the posters use it in every single one of their posts. Gives the board a weird feel, like teenage boys trying to sound edgy and cool. It's not my board, but I'd put in a filter for fuck and shit (maybe something funny like you've done with Bates Motel Rexident and Doooon't Caaare), and if people bypass it, no biggie, no ban, but make them go through the effort of typing out something to bypass it. You might be able to attract a more diverse crowd of posters, including older ones that just want to talk football. We welcome you and hope you'll contribute. But this is our board and we'll run it any fucking way we want to.

The mods are more of the old hampur gang that have been hanging out with eachother ten years daily. Friends really, and having them as mods is more so we can bullshit in private in the lounge. As far as censorship not going to happen. The phailstrip sucked if it wasn't for the hampur or the old strip with OT I never would if had spent more then a day here. If you're looking fir older guys to talk football with go to Elias new site nyjetsfanatics. Might be more your style. Though I went through all your 17 posts and you used profanity in half if them. This is a suggestion thread to improve the features of the board. Nyjetsfanatics is what you're looking for and I think you'll be happier there. Ill go ahead and delete your account to help you along.

I think the idea behind the biggest asshole poll is intended to be entertaining/funny. But the problem is the "prize." Banning? Who the hell wants to participate in a poll where the result is banning somebody? It's a little like the Gestapo: "Where are people hiding we should know about so we can take the necessary steps?" How about a "prize" more along the lines of replacing the "winner's" avatar with something awful?
It's similar with the board policies on warning percentage. Yesterday I tried to help out another board member to let him know how to check his warning percentage. Shortly afterward, my warning percentage was bumped up by 37%.
This stuff isn't funny, and I think it will have a chilling effect on board participation.
I'll probably regret making this post. But it is only intended as a positive suggestion. To the new management.

I've already jumped into the lead.

To the new management. Listen we're all just fucking around here in here in the first place, I don't think any of the mods really give a crap about warning percentages one bit. But if people are getting their panties in a twist over it then we've done our job. The problem is that we have posters here who are new and never once ever ventured or posted in the old 'Hampur' over at JI; you seem to fit that category, I've never even seen you on JI much less in the Hampur, so you don't understand the goofball mentality of fucking with each other. Not to single you out, but I'm sure there are others. You just seem to repeatedly question what we're doing over and over again, it's getting tiresome. Don't try to make sense of it because there isn't any, just relax about this shit already. If you find this board isn't to your liking, then there are other options available.
