Yeah I would be cool with either one, dont get me wrong, I just think Cook may end up being a little more well rounded, but I dont know shit! I like both. Can't wait for combine. Cook reminds me of prime CJ2K.

Yeah, he'll instantly help us just like Gurley made LA a winner.
Fix the OLine first is my position. We can get a RB later. There are always a few guys out there. (ex. Gurley, Elliott this year, etc.)

What if we trade down into the late teens or early 20's? Grab and extra second and a third maybe. We could then grab a bunch of good linemen. Shell and Johnson look promising now with Winters improved play we could really turn the OL from a weakness to a strength in one year. May not be Dallas level but much improved over the shit we saw this year.

Besides, there might not even be an OL taken in the Top 25 this year. It's that bad of an OL crop.

However, dropping down to 10 should get us another 2nd round pick. I'd love to do that and still take Cook at 10. Then use the two 2nds on OL and CB. This drafts strengths are CB, RB, and edge rushers. I really think we're going to have to sign a LT in free agency.

Pretty much the end of that debate. I too recognize the need and if ND's McGlinchey was coming out, then there'd be a discussion there - but i guess he's not? #DalvinAllDay

Dalvin is pure porn to me. He's my fav RB prospect to come out since DMC, or maybe ever?
He's scheme versatile, he's an every down and distance player, and the most natural open field runner i've ever seen.

We haven't had a homegrown legit offensive skill player in god knows how long. This is so unbelievably god damn true. It's permeates all of our perspectives, attitudes about FAs we bring in, and the use of our draft picks. How much longer can a franchise go without drafting a playmaker??

I'd rather take one of the young RBs at 6 then trade down. We have a lot of young solid pieces on this team, what we lack are difference makers. We need to add elite talent to the team, especially on offense. Having Fournette or Cook on the team is going to help Petty/Hackenberg/? a ton.

If we can sign a LT in Free Agency then maybe going with an elite RB in Round 1 is okay but I'd immediately come back in Round 2 and consider a Center who can play his rookie year at OG and learn from Mangold for a season before moving over to C. The Jets draft strategy will obviously be predicated on how/what they do in FA. We still have so many needs....OLine, CB, OLB, etc. A few of those boxes need to be checked prior to the Draft. Let's also remember the Jets strategy spanning three different GMs now.....Thomas Jones with a young guy (Shonn Greene) behind him, Chris Ivory with Powell behind him, Matt Forte with Powell behind him. The Jets have NEVER shown the propensity to value a RB highly in the draft. Who knows....it could change, but it hasn't been their style for more than a decade.
