Its the same exact board as here with more features. I like this board so Im happy about that. I have to talk tomorrow to the rep, and I want concrete evidence we will be left alone,and free to post whatever. Im also trying to make sure no one will be blocked at work, and literally if they just copy what we have here and shift it over, because it seems like that's exactly the deal. I wouldn't even have to do this format all over again and crossfire fish will be happy with that as well. Just making sure we do this exactly right before I sign us over there for a 6 month commitment. Because once we go we cant return to proboards or here ever again.
Im not worried about you guys helping out, you put me at ease early with that. As far as they tell me the site is 100 percent ours and 100 percent uncensored, and the best part its the same as here and we are all already used to it. I just have a few more questions like how much it is to just have you guys imported over immediately when you log in and not have to re register. I don't think you do. But Ill find out. I think were globally already in the system. The fee for transferring all of that and the board is already covered as well as 2 months of the service, so it looks like we are going soon. Just keeping you guys informed

Also we had 668 guests today, So If any guests are reading this and are thinking of joining please do so soon. This is going to be a member supported site not a giant add place to make money, so page views cost me alot of money but they are not important to me because I will not be putting adds on the site. Therefore I will be limiting severely lurking the boards.
It just costs us more money. If I had adds paying me for those pageviews then it would be a different story, but forums.net charges me according to how many page views I get, its why they bombard us with adds now, for the money. Just a heads up

You may have been the only person on that board who could have pulled this off. get it up and running, set clear guidelines for your mods, and then let them run the day to day for you. With the amount of time this is taking up you will probably soon realize why most forum administrators try to make a little money off the website. This place is only a few weeks old and it will probably continue to grow in size over the next few months as old JI posters keep finding their way over here.
You may want to consider adopting some ads on the new platform, especially as the board grows. You can always put the ads in less conspicuous places. They won't generate as much revenue that way but they also won't clutter the content, either.

JI just got way out of hand with it. It was the only WS I've ever seen where you would be following a thread, click on the next page, and be sent to an ad site instead. You would have to go back a page and do it over again to get where you wanted to go in the first place, that was ridiculous and it pissed me off. |
