Everyone agrees that the Jets are in need of a QB and that the FA pool is weak at best. Are there any backup QBs that we could possible get for a decent trade value that have a high upside but are buried below a good starter?

The QB market flat out sucks this year. You have two really good prospects at the top of this draft but very little to get exited about after them. Last year was a MUCH better QB draft. The FA market always sucks for QBs as anyone worth anything seldom becomes a FA. Trading for a current back up is possible, you generally over pay for those guys though and I'm not sure who is really worth going after. I wouldn't be surprised if we go into next season with a Matt Moore, Geno and Simms.

I know Matt Flynn was a hot topic a couple years ago before Wilson out played him in camp. He is in Green Bay again behind Rodgers I think so they must see something in him. Is he just assumed to be bad now because Wilson out played him?

I want them to really test out Simms this year. I didn't trust the old regime here. I just want to know what that kids got. He's looked promising everytime I seen him

If Geno starts. I'll be furious. Don't know how I'll react in the stands. But im sick of being depressed in the stands I'll tell you that

I can see Hoyer being backup QB. We can do a lot worse and he won't command starter money.
Living in Cleveland I've seen all his starts. He gets rid of the back quicker than anyone in the league. He was playing great until Gordon came back and played lazy, not finishing his routes. This disrupted the chemistry as they tried to force the back to Gordon and Hoyer threw to spots Gordon wasn't at.

I think either Hoyer or McCoy would be the best short term alternative. Let one of them battle Geno and Simms, and then draft one of the second tier guys to develop.

Not a fan of Hoyer and I haven't seen much of McCoy in the pros. From what little I saw of him in college he seemed like a decent prospect but if I remember he is yet another smart yet weak armed QB.

I'd like to see them make a run at Glennon if TB drafts one of the QBs.
