You're drinking vodka gibsons, not martinis. Ok fuck you and fuck the big titted waitress that said the sand thing to me. My FATHER drank Gibsons. I drink vodka martinis with cocktail onions. A subtle almost negligible difference. But a difference none the same. _

That sounds super ghey and is NOT a martini. _ Well, no, it's a Gibson because of the onions. The St. Germain, an elderflower liqueur, is an addition to bring out the juniper in gin. Exercise your taste buds a bit, my friend. I said I'm a martini purist when it comes to gin vs vodka, but that doesn't mean I won't add a little to my drinks to make them more flavorful.

Taste buds. I drink Bombay Saphire by the litre. And I only put St Germain in Proseco. Have a fifth of it on hand. But never in a "martini". _

And I only put St Germain in Proseco. Have a fifth of it on hand. But never in a "martini". _ Bombay and Tanqueray are ok for a gin and tonic, but step it up for a martini (and all its variants). Hendricks, Beefeater (yes, Beefeater) and Plymouth are best for martinis. And don't tell people you drink prosecco. I'd sooner pour a glass of triple sec. Nothing wrong with adding a splash of liqueur to a drink to add some flavor, as long as it's the right liqueur for the drink. St. Germain and gin are perfect for each other. I like this booze disagreement. Just playfully giving you shit for drinking vodka "martinis," but drink what you like, dude.
