Why all the hate. Why all the critique.
Drink what you like.
As an adult male of course I've had Hendricks, it's great. Beefeater is the rock gut my Dad used to drink but if that's your gin of choice, go to it. My sopne happens to like Bombay so that's what I stock. We have a distillery near us called Hudson Valley that makes an awesome gin as well as a great bourbon and rye.
Proseco is awesome. It's a great starter for an evening. My sons host family in Italy serves it before every gathering and we've started to do it too. Don't like it? Don't care. A dash of St. Germaine adds a nice touch.
Love single malt scotch. Balvenie 21 is my favorite but the 14 year Caribbean cask is great too. I also drink their blend called Monkey Shoulder.
Love bourbon. My favorite is Woodford Reserve but I also like Basil Hayden and Bookers for some kick.
I drink beer but never light beer and mostly very hoppy ales or crisp German pilsner/lagers.
Wine, of course.
But my "martini" is a vodka martini with no vermouth and cocktail onions.
Unless what you're drinking is gin, dry vermouth and a lemon twist I guess you can't call it a "martini".
So sue me.

Nothing wrong drinking Proseco if you like Proseco. I drink Port. Often. Enjoy what you enjoy. To each their own and such. My own Favorites: Wine: Graham's 20 Year Old Tawny Port Beer: Founder's Imperial Stout Scotch: Anything and everything Glenmorangie (and a dozen others, too long to list). My wheelhouse. Irish: Red Breast, 12, 15, 21, whatever it's all great. Bourbon: Anything local/microdistillery. Gin: KO Navy Strength (local) Rum: Ron Zacapa 23 Year Old Dark Rum Vodka: Polish/Lithuanian Starka, preferably at least 20 years old. Don't do much beyond these categories, no te-kill-ya for me, thanks!

Agree with Stokes here. Drink whatever you like. Personally, I can't stand gin or vermouth. I'm a bourbon, vodka guy, generally drinking bourbon on the rocks or with a splash of water in the winter, and vodka and tonic in the summer. As for brands, I gravitate towards Angels Envy or Makers 48 in bourbon. Ketel One and Grey Goose in vodka. With an occasional rum making an appearance as well. Beer? I'm not a fan of hoppy IPA's. I gravitate towards German and Belgian pilsners. My true weakness is wines, specifically Italian reds. Offer me a nice Amarone or Barolo, I will never say no! Now, as a Jets fan this may sound illogical. I actually drink less now than years ago. Something about getting intoxicated just doesn't work for me anymore.

Btw, going to a dinner party in NYC tonite and I'm bringing a 2004 Vin Santo from Chianti. Wine of the Saints. It's a slightly sweet dessert wine served all over Tuscany and it is delicious. So sue me. _

www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/bombay-sapphire-gin-twice-too-strong-canada-recall-77-per-cent-a7717656.html Bottles of Bombay Sapphire gin are being recalled – because they contain too much alcohol.Batches in Canada are being recalled by the country’s health authorities, who say a “small number” of bottles contain nearly double the advertised amount of alcohol. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the bottles were found to contain 77% alcohol, rather than the typical 40%. An “isolated customer complaint” followed by a series of product checks sparked the recall, according to owner Bacardi. The firm sells alcohol products around the world including Grey Goose Vodka and several well-known rum products. The firm says the affected batch is only being sold in Canada, and people who return bottles will have their money refunded. A spokesman added: “We do not recommend consumption of this product.”
