of like when the Detroit Lions STARTED sucking so bad they went winless and 2-14 was an average year for them. That's what this steaming bag of shit looks like to me. Especially if we hire these dudes backwards. And I'm not even one of those SOFS... Imagine what THEY think! I put this in the other thread but here it is again, maybe it's more sideways than backwards but still not correct IMHO: Woody Johnson to Hire Coach SNY.TV's TheJetsBlog.com provides comments from Johnson: "I think I’m going to ultimately be the one who hires the coach, but I will certainly listen to the new general manager,” Johnson said. “If that comes first, I’ll definitely do that.” Johnson is being advised by Charley Casserly and Ron Wolf in the head coach and general manager search. Oh, cool well that's good to know.. All kinds of conflicting shit and gossip out there so you never know, but I know we would do some dumb shit if we could!

iTS ABOUT TO BE THE ERA OFF BARE ASSES AND TITTIES CAUSE WERE MOVING TONIGHT HOPEFULLY Furthermore I think we need to try to get strip clubs to be advertisers. From all over the metro area. They would generate revenue without the no titties or asses requirement. Discuss?

Yea I think it would have eventually worked with a strong OC, in a assistant HC type of role, who was also strong tactician. Also a savvy GM that was committed to building the offensive side of the ball to complement Rex's D. There's only 3 problems with this: 1) Rex takes a lot of the blame in the choices of at least 2 of the 3 OCs in his tenure here. An HC hires his own staff. 2) Rex takes some blame for the defensive heavy drafts, under both GMs. It's a joke to think that a GM just hands the GM some players and then tells him to "make it work" HC has plenty of say during the drafting process. 3) It's pointless to bring in a great OC if Rex is going to neuter the offense after our young QB's first mistake, and practically mandate that the Wildcat package be used because "it gives the opponents something else to prepare for". All good points dude. Rex's faults were never mitigated by either putting a strong OC in place or by having a strong personnel-oriented GM here. When you follow up an overspending salary cap guy (Tanny) with an underspending salary cap guy (Idzik) and never have a true football GM, that's a recipe for disaster with a guy like Rex whose personality can tip the balance when deciding on drafting or signing a particular player. If there was a GM with a strong football IQ who could command a room then I think he would have better draft investments on offense. However, in defense of the drafts, it's important to note that the Jets did use FA quite a bit on offense. Bringing in guys like Braylon, Holmes, LT, etc. after having built a "foundation" in recent years with high draft picks like Sanchez, Keller, Mangold, and Brick wasn't necessarily showing "neglect" of the offense from a personnel standpoint. Agreed, JS That's why I'm happy Woody committed a full-measure for a change...

With a roster full of suckitude, no QB, and injuries to both starting CBs that were needed to make Rex's defense really work I just can't see any other coach taking this past year's team to more than 5 or 6 wins. Who in their right mind thinks that the 2014 Jets dramatically underachieved?? I think they pretty much met expectations, at least within a game or two. I haven't heard a single football expert say, "Wow, how did that team not win a lot more games and make a playoff push?" Probably fair to assess the past 6 years under Rex as follows... 2009 - Major Overachievement2010 - Overachievement2011 - Underachievement2012 - Underachievement2013 - Overachievement2014 - Met expectationsI think we had a roster with 6-win talent both last year and this year. Last year we won 8 games with a 6-win roster, this year we won 4 games with a 6-win roster. You could argue that last year a couple of bounces of the ball had the Jets at 6 or 7 wins instead of 8. You could also argue this year that if Folk hits a couple of FGs or the Jets finish the OT game in Minnesota that they win 6 or 7 this year. They underachieved on the O side of the ball because Rex always had to have first round D players in the draft (2 in 2013!!!) and Rex could not hire a competent staff to coach the O side of the ball. they certainly didn't address the offensive side under idzik but imo idzik's biggest failure was not improving the oline. colon was just not very good and giacomini was not as good as howard. idzik let howard walk and then didn't upgrade colon. imagine if the jets could have scored over 20 per game instead of 17. of course geno is really pretty bad but he looks much worse if he feels he's being rushed too much.

Unless you luck into a SparklePony. (yeah, eff the filters... funniest thing is that BB's name misses it a lot because half of the posters here can't spell his name correctly) When ever I type my spelling in I get "Discount Belly Check." WTF?

Forget who it was but they said that shit, said they were gonna whoop his ass, and then went out and did just that, and Geno crumbled exactly like dude said he would. who the hell was that? It was last year

It was last year just about all qb's crumble in the face of a pass rush. geno either couldn't see that one was coming or just didn't know who to throw the ball to. when his first read is open he's okay.
