Good cause the Bears don't, I wonder why? Thirty years ago, Buddy Ryan served as the architect of one of the greatest defenses of all time: The 1985 Bears. Now that the Bears are looking for a new coach and Buddy’s son, Rex, is looking for work, it seems to be a perfect match — especially with Chicago surely hoping to find someone who is the opposite of Marc Trestman. But the things that make the most sense are often the things that have the least chance of happening. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Bears have no interest in Rex. It’s unclear why the Bears aren’t interested. Former Colts, Browns, and Giants G.M. Ernie Accorsi has been working as a consultant, and it’s possible Accorsi has advised against Buddy’s son. Regardless, Rex won’t be the coach of the Bears, barring a dramatic change of heart. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/03/bears-have-no-interest-in-rex-ryan/Might have something to do with the fact that Rex (and Tanny) passed over taking Cutler when they had the chance and went with Sanchez instead. So maybe it's mutual and/or the management/FO knows it would never work. LOL. The Rex supporters are blind to his faults.

You mean he brings joy and laughter to lots of children while wearing outlandish costumes featuring distinctive makeup, colorful wigs, exaggerated footwear, and colorful clothing. I knew he gave a lot of money to charity, but what a sweetheart to give his free time to perform for the kids.

That sounds like a great start to a relationship

I hope the Bills hire Rex. That way we'd play twice a year against a team that: - will turn the ball over consistently
- commit lots of penalties
- will not make half-time adjustments
- will waste timeouts
- will mis-manage the clock
- will not develop any young offensive players
- will not develop any young defensive players unless he manages to convince Karl Dunbar to join him as a dline coach

But also a guy who knows the weak areas of our team enough to not only take advantage of them but to also give other teams a roadmap of how to play us. Even if we win both BUF games we still have to deal with the way other teams take what Rex does and apply it to their own game plans.

I would expect a whole new coaching philiosophy and a lot of new players next year, so wouldn't worry too much about that.

Rex has no clue as to what kind of x's and o's this team will be employing.

I don't think Rex even knows who plays offense for the Jets right now, let alone a year from now.

He's going to have to wear more than is regular team-issue dog sweater vest in that Buffalo weather.

He'll know a lot about our defensive front, which is the strongest part of our game. I also would not start in with assumptions that this team is getting a lot of turnover until it happens. Who knows who Woody will bring in or what that GM will do with the roster.

He's interviewing with CBS on Wednesday
He's going to be an analyst if he can't land the Atlanta job.

"Within FIFTEEN MINUTES of the Jets letting him go he'll have MULTIPLE offers from other teams to be their head coach!!"
