Just read an article on Thanksgiving stuffing (dressing) where it mentioned "White Castle Turkey Stuffing". I nearly fell off my chair. Here's the recipe for those so inclined. Before endeavoring, make sure you hit Costco for a skid of toilet paper, which you and your guests might need.
TIME TO GOBBLE UP WHITE CASTLE’S TURKEY STUFFING Craver inspired White Castle recipe is a holiday tradition for families across America
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The White Castle Turkey Stuffing recipe is an old Craver favorite, having originated in 1991 when a White Castle team member enhanced her grandmother’s family stuffing recipe with a sack of Sliders. The recipe was born and with it the challenge for Cravers across the land to create their own unique Slider culinary creation.
This tasty holiday recipe calls for a sack of 10 steam-grilled-on-a-bed-of-onions Original Sliders to create a Thanksgiving masterpiece fit for a family of true Cravers.
“This recipe is a tasty take on traditional turkey stuffing, which adds the high-quality ingredients of 100 percent all-beef Sliders and savory grilled onions for gourmet perfection,” said White Castle Corporate Chef Phillip Bach, who can personally guide you through the preparation process of White Castle Turkey Stuffing in this edition of What’s Cooking Cravers? The original White Castle Turkey Stuffing ingredients:
10 White Castle Sliders (from the restaurant with the pickles removed or picked up from your local retailer) 1 1/2 cups diced celery 1 1/4 teaspoons each of ground thyme and ground sage 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper 1/4 cup chicken broth Simply tear burgers into small pieces; put them into a large mixing bowl with the celery, thyme, sage and black pepper; and toss to combine. Add chicken broth and toss again. Stuff the mixture into the turkey cavity just before roasting or in your favorite casserole dish.
The true beauty of the White Castle Turkey Stuffing recipe is the 10 Sliders can be from your local White Castle restaurant, which will be open on Thanksgiving Day, or picked up at your local retailer and prepared at home. Either version of the Slider works and will provide the “secret ingredient” to a soon-to-be family favorite recipe.
“As a family-owned business, we’re glad to see Craver families across the country making the White Castle Turkey Stuffing a staple of their Thanksgiving dinner for nearly a quarter of a century,” said Jamie Richardson vice president of White Castle.
For years, legions of White Castle’s most passionate fans around the world have tinkered with family recipes enhancing the flavor and creation with the addition of White Castle Sliders. Those Craver-inspired recipes, which range from Castle-con-Queso Dip to Castle-Stuffed Pork Chops and the popular White Castle Vidalia Dip, are available under the recipe tab on WhiteCastle.com.

If I didn't have my sausage already I may have tried this. I'll actually do this in a month or so in a Oven Stuffer roaster chicken. Lol. I LOVE White Castle. _

By the way, so happy Borgo is no longer here.
He always insisted you couldn't brine a turkey then use the drippings for gravy.
I do it every year and it's incredible, like a gravy MOAB.
The Slapdick.

You gotta post a review immediately after making it. This is literally almost my exact recipe but instead of Hot and Sagey Breakfast Sausage (hey, it's what my Mom did, not Italian sausage, Vidalia onions and 16-18 stale kaiser rolls you use White Castle burgers. Dried thyme leaves, ground sage, fresh parsley. _

Dried thyme leaves, ground sage, fresh parsley. _ I've made various stuffings over the years. I've settled into an Italian (sweet) sausage stuffing. Basically browned sausage, wee bit of celery (I find that celery tends to dominate soups, stocks, and stuffing so I use it expeditiously), leeks, onion, garlic, stale sliced Italian bread (I like Paramount bakeries from Newark), fresh parsley, thyme and sage (again, easy on the sage), eggs for binding, and homemade chicken or turkey stock. I always bake it in a pan not inside the bird. EDIT: Add some grated Parmigiano Reggiano, too. Guy was a complete wanker. But, push come to shove, I mostly agree with his appraisal. You should taste it. It's awesome. _ I bet. Guess Borgo (and me to an extent) feels that you really need to taste the pan drippings for salt as an excessively brined bird will cause the drippings to be over salted.

I go browned hot and sagey breakfast sausage, then add heavy onions and celery keeping them crisp, dried thyme, ground sage, fresh parsley, kosher salt, cracked pepper, soak the stale kaiser rolls in Chicken stock, stuff the bird with half and put the rest in a casserole that I baste with some drippings from the bird. _

Honestly, if all that was served on Thanksgiving was stuffing I'd be happy. My favorite part of the dinner.

Oops, forgot the grated Parmigiano Reggiano in the recipe above. No cheese in mine. _ That's my Mom's influence. Not for you, but I hope that folks reading that thumbnail for sausage stuffing above know that you need to sauté the celery, leeks, onion and garlic. I hate giving recipes as you need to assume folks reading have a basic kitchen vocabulary.
