RG and C are different than taking S and S. In the Ellis/ Abraham draft the Jets had 4 first round picks providing them that luxury. FS and SS aren't the same position, spanky. I suspect you know that though. Yes, that changes everything. Brilliant selections this year by Macc then.  |

This guy better be right about being the worst roster. This wont be a successful year if the Jets are not picking #1 in 2018. Im expecting the Jets get the pick their franchise QB. Best QB class in a decade.

The scary part of the tank is that our roster is so epically bad that darnold and rosen will stay in school. Why leave and go to the jets where you have no shot to succeed. Peyton manning all over again I think 2 of the three are seniors. I also think our roster is not terrible overall. I think the offense will suck but the D can be decent to good if they all play hard. We go 0-16,1-15 and have 3 to chose from. I do not see any of the Qb's pulling that stunt. Peyton actually wanted to be the number one overall and when Parcels would not assure him he would not trade the pick PM went to school. We just cannot win games next year. We must absolutely must lose to the fucking Browns. I will actually watch college ball this year for the three top guys. I hope they all have Heisman type seasons so they all think they will go number one overall. |

They just laughed at the Jets roster. I factually disagree with that, but whatever....it's TV, they're supposed to use hyperbole. This isn't your father's NFL. Teams can turn it around quickly IF a couple of important things happen. Free agency allows that to happen, playing rookies earlier in their careers now allows that to happen. I say factually because all you have to do is look at this past season. Dallas Cowboys20154 Wins, 12 Losses 201613 Wins, 3 Losses I don't care how bad the roster and talent is here in 2017 (and it is downright awful), it's not impossible for this team with a high draft pick in 2017 and upwards of $70M in Cap space to make a big leap in one year. But keeping aging, expensive veterans (Harris, Mangold, Decker, Marshall) would have strung out the rebuild, allowed the Jets to have another 5 win season in 2017 instead of the 2 wins they may get. Particularly on defense, there are at least 7 or 8 guys starting that will still be here in 2018, 2019, etc. The defense really only needs a CB and an OLB. Guys like Leo, Wilkerson, Darron Lee, Jenkins, Adams, Maye, etc are here for the long haul....and deserve to be. I also love this idea that other NFL players and potential free agents will look at this Jets situation and say, “Damn, the Jets cut Decker and Harris with such little class that I’m not going to sign there and take their $40 million.” lol Horseshit. It's as much a business for the players as it is for the teams and owners. They all want to maximize themselves. Look at Kirk Cousins. |
