It would be nice to see him throw further than 5 yards. I'm happy for him to take what the defence gives him and get the reps rather than force it while he's in there with the 2's. This board would beat the shit out of the kid if he threw a couple of picks forcing it. It's the preseason and he was playing with the ones at first. Let him chuck it. His whole game tonight was checkdown Charlie, what's the point?

Just take our time with him, let him get the reps and see a few different looks, build his confidence with a few easy completions and no mistakes. Something to build on goin into PS2.

Thought Hammond looked good fielding punts, something we have not seen for years.

Still the kid gloves treatment when he's already in his second year. Did you see the rookies drafted this year that were spinning it in their first ever games as rookies? FFS it's preseason, let him sling it.

1st team D running wind sprints on the sideline. Definitely a culture change for the Jets. Am I wrong or was Sheldon missing? He ran, but was way back there.

Went to game with son and his fiancée. Section 115A, row 30, nice seats surrounded by nice people. Here are a few takeaways:
Young fast and ENTHUSIASTIC. McDougle seemed on fire in the late stages.
Lots of checking down by Hack, but this is fis first preseason game. There is a reason he went from no snaps in 2016 to clearly ahead of Petty.
Wind sprints were going even late into the 4th quarter, yes Richardson was in on most of them and even backers (Demario) got in the spirit.
D sometimes porous to the run, but fierce on the pass rush.
It is always difficult to judge team success from preseason. One notable was very little drop off in the level of play as we went deep into the roster. This is either great for the scrubs or damning for the firsts.

The sprints were the most impressive thing I've seen from a Jets team in preseason in my lifetime.
Run blocking was no existent.
#5 was not the same guy I saw in camp.
