The season really hinges on these next 3 games: Dolphins, Jaguars & Browns. Dolphins are better than the Jets, but they are beatable -- if for no other reason than Jay Cutler. When Jay Cutler is your QB, no matter how good you are, there is always a chance you can be beat. If we can manage to find some semblance of a pass rush, and we hit Cutler early, he gets rattled and makes mistakes. Hit him early and often and he is likely to turn the ball over 2+ times. If we let him sit back there, survey the field and throw it around to Parker, Landry, Stills, Thomas and Co -- he can also put up 400+ yards and 3+ TDs and he tank will roll on. Of course, if our run defense looks as bad as it has the last two weeks, Jay Ajayi could beat us on his own. But Cutler scares me. This one is followed up with the Jags and Browns. Blake Bortles and DeShone Kizer. Both teams have some young talent, but also young QBs who are prone to mistakes. Allen Robinson is already out for the Jags. Hopefully Joe Thomas will still be a Brown by the time we get to town. Have to come out of this stretch at no better than 1-4, preferably 0-5. Not many winnable games on the schedule after this stretch: Denver, NE 2x, Atlanta, KC, Carolina, Tampa, NO. Does the tank roll on? Or does the tank get off track?

I'm not so worried about the Miami game. They have a better roster and a much better coach. They probably win one of the Jax or Cleveland games.
Don't be surprised if a tie breaker to determine draft order keeps the Jets from getting their franchise QB.

I think we lose to Miami and Jacksonville. Any team that can run the ball will beat us, Demario Davis and Darron Lee will see to that. They're the true MVPs.

Blake Bortles remains a mystery. I was sure last year would be his break out season with Robinson and Hurns. He's totally regressed.

After hoping Fournette would fall into our laps last draft, I fully expect to watch him trample Davis and Lee in 2 weeks.

I'm grudgingly down with losing, but keeping some semblance of respect while doing so to obtain a top pick. I'll just make three points: 1) In the event the Jets get the 1st pick in the draft, I'm going to have a melt down if Darnold decides to stay in college; and 2) On any given Sunday, a bad team can knock off a better team which doesn't come ready to play; and 3) I believe the Jets will win several games this season, I can't predict how many but they will not lose out.

Shut your fook up. We cannot win any, much less 2. We have serious competition for the top overall pick. This weekend is very important to that end. Go Fish Go Browns Go Bills Go Bengals
Fuck you 49's.

The people on this board who think the Jets will win 0 games are delusional. Obviously, as embarrassing as that would be for the franchise, that is the desirable outcome for this season. Everyone can rant and rave about posts which go against losing out, but losing 16 games is a hard thing to do. Same goes for the 49'ers and some of the other teams lacking talent, they won't lose out either. I just hope the Jets are in the top 3 in the first round, then have the ability to wheel and deal for the first pick. Preferably Sam Darnold, so this franchise QB drought can be solved for the next decade.

Fuck you 49's. I will take this a step further. Ideally, we want the Bills and Browns to be at least a half dozen picks behind us. With both teams having an extra first - I don't want them anywhere in the top 8. This way, if we end up picking 3 or 4, there will be enough of a value difference in our 1s to make it tough for them to jump us to 1 or 2. And since the Browns have the Texans pick; and the Bills have the Chiefs pick. Go Texans. Go Chiefs.

I always liked Trader Mike, wish he never left
Go Phins

It's a lot easier to root for the team to lose as long as they keep trotting out McCown, McLendon, Kearse, Kerley, Skrine, etc. When are the young guys going to play? Isn't that what this season was supposed to be judged on?
