A couple of more wins and he's in line for Coach of the Year...

I just wish someone would explain to Todd and his staff that halftimes are the perfect time to make game plan adjustments. It seems that neither he or his staff alter the game plan to any degree during halftime while the other teams coaches are adjusting the fuck out of theirs.

Maybe someone could also explain that futz and McClown r not the Jets QBs of the future or present and playing these two retread loser micks is only a waste o’ time that is only setting back this pathetic franchise for YEARS. Stupid fucks.

Remember how fast the franchise turned around when Parcells came on board? I hate that the Jets keep changing coaches but in addition to their franchise QB who will be there for the next 10 years, they need their franchise coach.

I don’t want shit to do with a coach who hasn’t roamed an NFL sideline in over a decade. The game has changed exponentially since they were still coaching.

It is easy to say, things improved when we hired a legendary coach. Harbaugh is probably the closest thing and I don't see him leaving Michigan.

Being a HC is so much different then being a coordinator. Not a big fan of Cowher but I wouldn't scream about Chucky. Just keep him away from personnel decisions.

He just dicked around with scrub vets like Brad Johnson, Brian Griese, Jeff Garcia, Chris Simms, etc. Who the fuck wants more of that?

I think it's more that a QB has the goods and gets drafted more then you draft a marginal QB and he becomes awesome. The "it" factor is just something that scouting departments suck at identifying. Chucky is an offensive minded HC.

Chucky is an offensive minded HC. I disagree with the notion that it takes an O minded HC to develop a QB. I believe it takes a good OC and QB coach to develop a QB. Perhaps the myth is based on the reality that an O minded HC knows a lot of guys who coach the O side of the ball resulting in a better coaching staff on the O side of the ball. The Jets current OC has turned a bunch of crap into a competent O despite the fact that his starting QB hardly played at all in preseason. He seems to know how to call plays that actually work and play to a QBs strengths. I am perfectly comfortable with him developing a QB. In fact, I think he would do a great job. Much like Bruce Arians developed Rothlissberger.

Who do you feel is in that Parcells mold that is available? If I had my choice of anyone I'd pick Andy Reed but he's off the table having just signed a new contract with the Chiefs. My second choice would be Sean Payton. I know there's a lot of talk about Bill Cower and "Chucky" Gruden. I'm not certain either has the drive to get back into the grind but I'm hardly an expert on either. I could guarantee one thing. All of the aforementioned individuals would not stand there like an emotionless, sleepy turd on the sidelines. They all would bring passion and energy to the sidelines and the team. Whether that would translate to wins for the Jets is arguable.
