This is going to be one of our historically greatest 6-10 season in the long storied history of this franchise.
Of all our 6-10 seasons, I can't think about a greater one than this.
Emotionless coach, 38 year old franchise QB, big fat overpaid billionaire DE, no playmakers on offense.
Fucking awesome.

The greatest aspect of this is that we will never see what we have (or have not) in Petty and Hack, we're not going to be in a position to draft one of the best QB prospects and we're going to give a 38 year old journeyman another contract.
It's the best of times to be a Jet fan.

It's the best of times to be a Jet fan. _ This is my problem with this season. If we were doing this with Petty then I would be very happy. <GlassHalfFull> As for no play makers on O I disagree. Powell, Anderson, Kearse, ASJ are all looking like they have a bright future. The line is actually doing much better than I thought they would. McGuire, Stewart and Tomlinson look to have a chance to be players and we still have Leggett and Hansen who haven't seen much playing time but have potential. I would take the best available QB in round one or sign Cousins and put several top picks into the OLine even trading back into the first round to get the LT or LG from Notre Dame. They are playing very well. I think if they can carry this young hungry team's attitude forward with a better QB and a strong line we will see the playoffs next season. I don't like Bowles but you have to give him some credit for the way the team is playing. I also give him a lot of blame for the late game collapses that have us at 4-5 instead of 7-2 and owning 1st in the AFC East. Think about that this team blew 4th quarter leads in the last 2 games and had the Pats* game stolen from them. Had they kept the momentum up rather than go prevent they would be 7-2! I really like what Morton is doing with these kids on O and can only imagine what he would do with a better QB and Oline. Call me crazy but even if we do go 6-10 the future could be bright. Look at the perennial losers in the NFL, getting all those top picks means nothing. The Jets remaining schedule isn't horrible. The Bucs, Panthers, Broncos, Saints and Chargers games are a toss up depending on which teams show up. We will probably lose the Cheifs and @pats* games. There is potential to go 8-8 or 9-7 even. For a team predicted to win between 0 and 4 games that is a success. Playoffs are a pipe dream but they are entertaining at least.

They looked good ... but can't deny that Buffalo had bit of bad luck ... the dropped interception, and the fumble after Buster jumped over the tight end and didn't touch him. But they did look good. Also can't deny that coaching was excellent. So if Todd remains like this we have a good chance to finish 8 & 8 or 9 & 7 ... and wait till next year. And we don't know about these college QBs. So far, none of them look that terrific. And Darnold is supposed to have said that if the Browns have the first pick, he'll stay in school. So the guy thinks he's going to be the 1st pick! Has not looked great this season. Sam may suck. So why not go for a free agent ... Cousins or Adam Smith. Best case scenario for Jets fans for the rest of this season is they continue to stay in the playoff race, keep our interest ... continue to develop good D and O line ... and next season we get a free agent QB, and have a decent draft.

This team may end up 8-8
Doesn't help for the future, but hey it's a building block
Lots of QB's available next off season Lots of QB's in the draft Lots of $$$ in FA
This may be a playoff team next year
