Just heard Mike Tannenbaum is the new executive vice president of football operations for the Dolphins!!!!! LMAO Ross is on drugs. Yeah, and apparently he is Quinn's agent... Here it starts... All the qualified guys go off to asshole of america shit teams and we get stuck with the worst asshole losers left, just like Idzik. Fuck this day If Tannenbaum becomes VP of Miami's football operations, I'm pretty sure he has to give up being an agent, that creates a conflict of interest.

I'm really not seeing why McCloughan would choose Washington or Oakland over the Jets.
Out of those 3 teams, the Jets are the only one with a truly open GM position.
If he goes to Washington, he still has to report to Bruce Allen and if he goes to Oakland, he still has to report to Reggie McKenzie.
And if the Jets are truly still talking to McCloughan, then that tells me that they want him for more than just a head of scouting/personnel position.

Maybe the guy talked to Tanny and Idzik and was told Woody was behind the Tebow signing, the Sanchez extension, and not bringing Revis back. We will never truly know what happens in the front office and if those guys want any chance of getting another job in the NFL, they won't ever say.

McCloughan was the Senior Personnel Executive in Seattle from 2010 until this year when he took another leave of absence because of a family issue...or it could've been the drinking, I guess. Personally, I don't give two shits if the guy is a lush as long as it doesn't impact his ability to perform his job.

We have been only saying it for the past two weeks. Instead of Woody chasing after Marrone, he should have landed his Jet last week Tuesday in Washington and had Scott sign on the dotted line before other teams got into the picture. He can evaluate talent. This should've been a no brainer, despite some personal failings that occur in business, government, etc, all the time, from the very beginning. WTF tookCasserly and Wolf so long?

Yeah just saw he was officially signed. Time to move on. The jets have interviewed pretty strong talent evaluators, I think Macagnan, Mueller and Kirchner are just that. But the question is can they work the entire process as a GM? Yes we missed out on Mcloughlin, but lets face it, he is going to have to deal with a sticky situation in DC and he has a lot of personal demons as well.

OK...that takes the whole drinking situation away from us as well. He's had two slip ups, one in SF, the other in Seattle. This NY situation could have really drove him to drink. Again.
Would have loved to have his talent, but others out there (i.e Kirchner, etc) make me feel ok about it.
