When football decided to go after the female audience--which really doesn't understand or care about the sport--it started alienating its core male fan base. It also started being less about sport and more about show biz. The amount of manufactured drama, the stupid pink wrist bands, the political correctness, make the game a shadow of what it was.

For me, anyway, the Ty Law Rule was the beginning of the end for the league.

Its happening in all sports. Though I love my wife and daughter, I turn on these games to have some sort of merciful respite from incessant yapping and dumb drama. Now its screeching broad sideline reporters and psuedo she-males doing bad Brett Musberger impressions in the booth during the college games. I believe its part of the overall lib de-balling of men.

I have protesting the team. Gave up my season tix last year but thought I Ghouls go to several games this year anyway. The protests annoyed me and I decided to say screw the NFL, at least for this season. For the first time since I was a kid, I did not watched a football game the entire first half of the season. I run a fantasy football league so I have to pay attention at least to a small degree. But I have been doing it with stats.
I hope the league is hurting. I know that I have saved a lot of coin by not dropping a dime on any tickets or or merchandise this year.
