Is that the episode where they set Charlie up on a blind date and told him that he should say he is a Philanthropist, but he was unable to say it and kept telling the woman he as a Full On Rapist?

Remember the UHF antenna? lol Impossible to tune any channel without a ton of snow. My Dad would always try to tune in the Italian channel (think it was 47), either fail or get a POS signal, and go into a fit. As for the Python guys? Each one had a unique talent. Whether it was writing, performing, or art direction, they somehow managed to become the forefront of sketch comedy. And later full up feature films. If you have never seen it, check out Terry Gilliam's "Brazil". It is so ahead of it's time. And who could forget the brilliant "Ruttles". Eric Idle wrote tunes which mirrored the Beatles' songs brilliantly. Here's the opening. The section with Idle as the TV reporter (at about 1:29in the video below) still makes me howl. As you said, just a simple concept executed perfectly by a comedy ace. Love Gilliams work. As for the Ruttles, I was one of the 30 people who actually bought the album they put out to support the project. I also thought it was hysterical they had an Indian guy playing George, lol. i still have that album somewhere...

(Spoilers if you haven’t watched it yet) Watched the first episode last night. I LIKE it. _ Show is fucking amazing Can get a bit slow at times during the first 1/3, but I was still invested in every bit. It’s strong throughout and the last 3 episodes are straight up BRUTAL with the violence. I’m actually genuinely (and pleasantly) surprised that they went there. Leftist critics are already causing an uproar over the “excessive violence”, which is ridiculous. Complaining about excessive violence with the Punisher is like complaining about excessive water with Aquaman. The guy isn’t a superhero with superpowers doing superheroic things. He’s a ruthless vigilante who mercilessly slaughters criminals.

Not a scene from a show, but a limey I work with suggested I watch a British comedy called "The Inbetweeners," about four guys in high school. Only 18 episodes in the whole series, each 1/2 hour long, so it's easy to plow through. Fucking hysterical, very dirty (as high school age lads are) and highly recommended. Free streaming if you have Amazon Prime.

That one is a classic. So funny. I have a ton of favorites from that show. This entire episode is really special. But the scene which kills me starts at about 18:51, where to Elaine's horror Jim says he'll play the piano. LOL.

Great Jim episode, and really killed it at the 18:50 mark. Hilarious
