Did Bowles address the Lee situation, as to why he was inactive. I haven't heard anything. Was it a violation of team rules or is he filling in for Shelly and running with Mo Wilk and showing up late for meetings? Team rules Bowles decision. He wouldn't get into it. [b Thanks.....

We can trade up a few spots for the edge rusher we need. With the run on Qb's early there should be a good one between 10-13. McCown can come back next year. Still looking for an edge rusher. I guess Wilkersoncoplesrichardsonwilliams weren't enough. Forever stuck in draft purgatory. In all fairness, the "Edge" rushers most recently drafted are Coples, Mauldin, and Donahue. And, as to Coples, perhaps only the Jets viewed him as an edge rusher. FWIW, if the Jets take Arden Key with their first pick and then trade up in the first round to take a QB -- Baker Mayfield or Lamar Jackson, I'd take it. I think our O staff could do a lot with the skills that Mayfield and Jackson bring to the table.

Otherwise I agree and would be thrilled if we could grab Key + Mayfield somehow.

Do any of you go to the games? This (and several others) have been great football to watch, down to the last minute. Nobody in the stands is whining about draft picks, that ship has sailed. Just a great feeling to see your team win for a change. Or even stay in the close ones and get cheated out like with the cheaters.

I had my heart set on a top 2 pick at the start of the year, but it is what it is. I'm excited that we actually have a nice group of good young players, probably the best young nucleus we had since the 2006 & 2007 drafts. It is what it is at the end of the year. There are 4 QBs that I'd be happy with, I'm fairly confident the Jets will figure out a way to grab one of them.

Who’s in this good group of young players? And shouldn’t that group include a QB and RB? Seems like that’s the way to build a winner these days.

Sure in a perfect world but hopefully they figure that out with all of the cap room and draft picks this off season. There are a lot more building blocks here than we thought we had when the season started. Worst case I would be happy to see them draft some strong Oline players in the first couple rounds if there isn't a QB to get and see what we can find in Free agency at QB. RB can be found later and with a great Oline Powell and McGuire would be adequate. A great oline can make a decent QB and RB look great.

Interesting, telling article ... nypost.com/2017/12/04/why-this-jets-win-could-resonate-for-years-to-come/ why this Jets win may be significant ... Last time Jets played Chiefs, in 2016, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions in the 24-3 loss and the Jets unraveled. it was even worse off the field than on it. That was the game that featured the locker room argument between Brandon Marshall and Sheldon Richardson that led to a rift on the team, something the Jets never recovered from. This game ... a 38-31 win over the Chiefs, feels like another turning point. The Jets found a way to win a game in the fourth quarter. Jets did not play well defensively and still won. They overcome the early 14-0 deficit. This is the type of game the Jets have not won in a while. And off the field, before the game, Bowles quietly, but firmly, disciplines a couple of players deserving to be disciplined. Definitely may be another turning point.

I am going to look back on this win fondly whilst watching Rosen Darnold Mayfield (and likely Allen and Jackson) playing for our opponents.

If we get Mayfield I will be giddy beyond belief. As much as I want a stud QB, I also want to root for and be entertained by my QB. Mayfield is a QB I would love to see in Green and White. It’s stupid but he looks like he could be the Mark Sanchez we were all hoping for. A really really good Mark Sanchez. _

He was a kid and fully owned up to it. The kids a football player. And his teammates love him. Good enough for me. _
