What else is there to say? How many years has Woody Pecker Johnson had to build an environment that coaches and players would flock too? Mike never wanted to leave, he just didn't want to be here.

How is that in anyway Woody’s fault? Westoff retired from the Jets and now he is with the saints, fuck the old crippled fuck, he’s dead to me

I met him one day at Citifield, a buddy got us on field passes for batting practice.
Happened to be a day the Jets coaching staff also had onfield passes.
Met Rex (have a good pic of he and I) Pettine Mrs. Rex (cute feet have to admit) and a few other coaches and they were all hobnobbing with the Wilpons and players etc.
Westoff stood off to the side, could not be bothered by the celebrity bullshit, like it pained him to be there.
So I sidle up to him figured I’d try to engage in some small Jets talk.
He’s leaning against the backstop with his cane so I say “hey coach, big Jet fan” and I figured I’d be ST topical so I ask “what do you think of Joe McKnight” figuring he’d give me some fluff about his potential or athleticism or the like.
He says, point blank, and quasi- crusty annoyed- kind of like what you imagine 32 sounds like now—“He’s a twerp, he had a LOT to learn”. Conversation over.
I was a bit shocked that he was so forward and critical of a recent draftee.
But he gave zero fucks.
Upped my respect for him.

That's why I mourn his loss, (fuckoff GN), that's what we needed to keep, talented don't give a fuck about the politics coaches and players.
It's Woody's fault because this obviously was not an environment where coaching was fun anymore. 18 years of death, time for Woody to take a walk on London bridge when some dude with a minivan and knife collection is in the neighborhood.

I don't think players would like playing for him. He treats them like chattel. Great tactician and game planner, but you need some people skills to succeed as a HC.

I just want him back as special teams coach. When was the last time we saw anything other than a kneel, fumble, fair catch or a run to the 22 yard line or another fumble, or another fumble?

You watch ANYTIME a run starts getting out of hand... flags... and imaginary block in the backs that never show up on replay. wow how strange. What a coincidence

Yup, not saying the game outcomes are fixed, but the refs defiantly use the flag to keep the games close and more exciting for their failing viewership. But then commish crams the commercials in. Nothing more frustrating than to be at a game and watch players standing around waiting for the commercials on TV to end. Today for example, there was a field goal, 5 minutes of commericals, then one play and another 5 minutes of commercials. NFL idiots are putting themselves out of business.

Colts scored a 2 pt conversion to take a lead with inner 1:30 left. About half a minute later a flag came in. Called a PI call on a legal block within 1 yard of the LOS. Such bullshit. _
