Teddy Bridgewater will be the next Jets QB. Talk amongst yourselves you racist pricks. First of all, I’m a bigot, not a racist. There’s a BIGGGGG difference. B- Teddy is one of my favorite QBs in the last half dozen drafts, was crying we didn’t take him because if the punk we had behind Center. I would have serious wood if we traded for him. Maybe I would even overlook his...well, you know. _

finally saw Mayfield play, looks exciting, but so didnt Manziel?? Is this guy for real How many heisman winning qb's ended up being stars in the NFL in the last couple decades? With names like johnny manziel, rg3, tim tebow, troy smith, matt leinhart, jason white, eric crouch, and chris weinke... what's there not to be positive about? Mayfield looks like a Johnny Foosball clone to me. The best of the group is probably cam newton and he's not even a great QB. He's just built like a fucking truck and can throw the ball. Without that size, he's nothing. This is such an illogical analysis. Winning the Heisman does not make you a bad pro. Losing the Heisman does not increase your chances of being a good pro. So a guy who was nominated 3 times and came in second his last year went on to be possibly the greatest regular season NFL QB ever, but if he had won it he would have sucked? They are mutually exclusive criteria. Stop it. _

Just using your example, Danny Weurfel won a Heisman over Peyton Manning in 1996. How is that possible? It's a completely different game in college. Mayfield plays in a conference that plays zero defense which bloats his offensive numbers. It's very easy for a college QB to look great in college, but terrible in the NFL. He's also not a pocket passer. How many small NFL QB's that aren't prototypical pocket passers have success in today's NFL? I can't think of any. And the ones that do have some success, it lasts for about 5 minutes and then they get injured. Edit... scratch that. Russell Wilson is one. That's probably Mayfield's ceiling. That type of player, but it's a reach. A big reach. But i can't think of anyone else.

Go fuck yourself. What a miserable bastard. Hey may be miserable but he is 100% correct in the jets annual win a few meaningless games to screw yourself come draft day.

He is a throw in the run passer. I’ve seen the guy consistently survey the field and go through MULTIPLE progresssions and consistently find the open guy, be it the third fourth fifth or even sixth option. He is super accurate, his arm is a LOT stronger than anyone thought, he’s incredibly mobile, always looking down field preferring to pass rather than run, is incredibly firey and his teammates love him. Oh yeah, lineman in college don’t magically grow 3 inches when they get to the pros. His heights not an issue now and won’t be in the pros. Isn’t for Brees or Russell. He’s a damn football player, has incredible arm talent and will lead men. He’s the anti-Johnny Manziel. But winning the Heisman means zero in terms of how good he’ll be. So wait, was Lamar going to be a bad pro had he cone out last year but now he’ll be a good pro because he lost the Heisman? You’re a smart guy even though a liberal. You see the folly of that logic? _

I would love to take him and think he’ll even be there at 6, but fucko the GM is a cunt/ pussy who will be afraid to take him there. Just like he was afraid to take dalvin Cook when he was staring him in the face in rd 2 (I don’t give a fuck that he got hurt, he’ll be back next year). Stupid fuck Macc will pick some safe non essential non impact waste. Because he’s an unimaginative four eyed stupid dope. Mayfield would bring excitement to a team seriously lacking in the fun or excitement department. Boringest loser franchise in the NFL. Hope I’m wrong and the dummy wakes up but I doubt it.

But i don't know about this guy. I'm perfectly fine with them taking him at #6 if he's available. I'd much prefer Darnold, Rosen, and Allen, but I'll take the best available QB when it's our pick. I think we really fucked up playing a 38 year old QB and won those early games. I really wanted a real franchise QB like Darnold or Rosen. I just don't think his size and style fits the NFL game. From what i've seen of him, he's a lot like Manziel to me. They both were great in college playing against swiss cheese defenses. I'm not questioning his arm at all. He looks like he has plenty of arm strength. But they run a lot and those guys get hurt a lot and typically aren't successful. It works in college because no one plays any defense in college. Same goes for the accuracy thing. It means nothing when the guys are open all the time and not throwing against NFL secondaries. College stats in general mean absolutely nothing. I just really hate his style of QB play at this level. They don't win super bowls and i want a fucking super bowl at some point in my life. They don't even stay healthy. I really just want a 6'3" or taller, white (yeah, i said it and we all know it), pocket passer at QB. Those are the guys that win super bowls. But pick him if he's there. We're wasting years with 38 year old bums at the position having "fun" staying in games and picking at 10 every year. Might as well see what a young guy with some potential can do.

You will not be getting Mayfield, he will be getting passed over by this shit front office and you'll be getting Josh McClown and another round 2 loser reach that will never play.
Next year's goal is Josh McClown first complete season
