Maybe sitting in the stands gives a different perspective but except for the 3 blowouts, most games were down to the last minute and one score.. Lots of excitement, damn fun to watch, even when we were robbed (cheaters) or lost. Or sat through 4 hours of rain. Other things:
- A young team got a lot of great experience.
- they showed they had fight in them to the last minute. Even though the Pats was in zero degree weather and they were getting their asses kicked, they showed fight to the end
- We found out for sure we have no QBs Pitty can't cut it in the NFL and how much must Hackensuck suck of Bowels wouldn't put him in? Of course Bowels won't say publicly he sucks, that would drain whatever tiny amount of trade value we can squeeze out of him.
- Robbie Anderson showed real star potential
- At least Bowels showed he could not lose the team, my main reason for wanting him gone. His play calling is still horrendous, 2nd and 18 and they call a run?
So stop whining, we pick up Cousins and Mayfield, some solid O-line, I think we really have something to look forward to next year.

Bowles needs an aggressive bone in his body. Maybe Ragu could rape him.

If we sign Cousins, no way we’re drafting a QB in the 1st round.
You’re signing Cousins with the intentions of him being your starter for a minimum of the next 3 years.
If we get Cousins, then I’m looking at guys like McGlinchley, Nelson and Key at #6 since Barkley and Chubb will most likely be gone.
Hell, I’d even consider a trade up to #3 for Barkley.

You're probably right but it makes sense to me to hedge. We all agree that Cousins is somewhat of a gamble. And draft picks are always a gamble. So if Cousins doesn't work out we have someone in the wings. And if Cousins is great we have some serious trade value. But if Cousins sucks or gets hurt we are back to Pitty, that doesn't make sense.
Or stay with McCowen and take a 1st round QB and trade up for a second. One of the two should work out... right? Then we have Cousins' $30 mil for FA. I know it won't happen, but I'm really tired of losing bets on a single QB.

You know you're a fan of a shitty franchise when threads like this exist and they're not jokes.

You know you're a fan of a shitty franchise when threads like this exist and they're not jokes. The year wasn’t that bad because no one gave a flying fuck. We all knew they would stink from day one of training camp. It wasn’t one of those rip ur heart out seasons cause there was no hope and no one even really watched or rooted for them, but the season devolved into a boring snore fest with an offense devoid of any playmakers, filled with unlovable inept losers who wouldn’t make Alabama’s practice squad. Wow, what a fun year. Puke year. Gonna send a letter to the mayor of Nome, but I don’t even think that City wants the Jets. We may have to bribe him. Bing - start a donation. Speaking of bing - go Bills!

You know you're a fan of a shitty franchise when threads like this exist and they're not jokes. Lol I actually laughed out loud reading this. Anybody that thinks talent is going to help a coaching staff that quits in games and plays like gutless cowards with balls like raisins must have been watching the games with their ray Charles glasses on.

Bowles is a disgrace of a coach who flat out gave up in at least 2 games this year. any and all good things about this year went out the window when he was extended.

So Mac said in his post season presser that woody or that other idiot Chris Johnson were happy that the Jets were “competitive” lol and that making the playoffs in 2018 is not a must.
heres a news flash for you. When an organization accepts that losing is acceptable as long as you don’t lose by a lot, all hope is lost. No wonder why they quit and played like pussies. They’re so insecure and stupid (the coaching staff). I would rather lose 30-0 “trying to win the game” then getting beat 24-3 with 4 minutes left and kicking a fg. Anybody who sees this as progress is clueless. I’m honestly done with them. I can’t watch them or talk about them without getting pissed off. And Clark wants to be happy in 2018

You know you're a fan of a shitty franchise when threads like this exist and they're not jokes. And how many home games did you miserable doomsayer old bastards attend? Easy to take the macro view and bitch, but sitting in the 4th row every game I watched a team that wanted to win. Gone are the Revis assholes that quit or standby and avoid tackling like we saw last night. Accepting close games is not good, but seeing close games as a positive sign for the future is just common sense.
Bowels is another story, nobody has been a bigger Bowels hater than me. Just wanted to point out one positive thing, but that may be the naiveté of young players that want to win a position on the team.
I predicted before the season 5 wins with at least 2-3 division wins while the rest of you went along with the media and moronically believed their hype of zero wins. If they don't fuck up the QB situation (which they surely will), 10 wins next year is not out of the question.
Pile on all you want, doesn't bother me. But seeing only the negative side is hardly an intelligent argument.

Who the fuck cares if they have zero chance at winning a super bowl? That's the only thing that matters. I couldn't care less how hard they tried in a year like this. The best thing this franchise could have done is gone 0-16 and possibly drafted a franchise QB for the first time in 50 years. I've had enough feel good wins for one lifetime. Nothing matters in this league if you don't have a top franchise QB and we don't have one in sight and haven't for a long time.

Hahaha - no one In America even knows who that scrub is. Practice squad player on any team remaining in the playoffs. He’s their top offensive playmaker? lol! In 3 years Macc has put together the worst, boringest roster in the league devoid of talent with 39 year old cast off QBs. That follows 2 years of idzik sleeping on draft day and purposefully taking the worst players in the league. Dead team going no where with players thinking they won the SB because they didn’t go 0-16. Dare to be better than winless.
