Mac signs Mccown for 6 million while Vikings sign Keenum for 2 million another example of the great front office this team has. Why we are doomed until this owner goes out and signs a real GM.

You understand Keenum wasn’t signed as the starter, right? You understand Sam Bradford, the actual starter, made $17,000,000 this year, right ? If you are comparing backups, Keenum made $2 million whilst Petty made less than $700k, right? You understand that, right? If you understood that, you wouldn’t have made this thread, right? _

You understand the Jets were expected 3 wins. You are rebuilding instead you go with a 39 year old who is considering retirement with 18 career wins and overpay for him versus a 28 year old QB who has some upside and can also start and is cheaper. I go with the younger QB have a open competition and if none of these guys pan out I have the #1 pick. Not Mac all I heard from the Jets front office leave no stone unturned guess what they walked right over it. Your rebuilding this team you TAKE CHANCES! Vikings did now have a legit QB while maybe not elite good enough to possible win the SB the Jets can keep selling you that cool aid when the draft Chubbs with the #6 pick and resign Mccown or trade for broken Knee Bridgewater, Alex Smith or Sam Bradford.

If you want to rag on Mac, go to it. But at least be honest. You critiqued Mac for signing McCown for $6mill while Keenum was signed for $2 mill. That’s an irrelevant/illogical comparison. Just edit your original post because it was stupid then have fun ragging on Mac. Can’t argue with that. _

It is a honest assessment of why this regime has to go. It extends beyond this it goes into poor draft decisions that would fill this page. They have no real plan to rebuild this franchise into a young team that can compete. If you cant see the advantage of grabbing a younger Journeyman QB over a guy who is 1 year away from retirement I'm wasting my time. This is just one of many things wrong with the front office. The link is yet another example of another Mac blunder and why Mac is not a good GM. www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/jets-wanted-kamara-gm-wasn-pay-price-sources-article-1.3432599

Seeing where the Vikings are right now and the jets are tells you all you need to know about how bad Macc is. Keemun was a smarter, better pickup then a unimaginative, expensive nightmare of old mcclown. Macc Really fucking sucks.

31 out of 32 teams passed on Keenum as a FA, and even the one that signed him didn't value him highly.
He was signed as insurance, as a backup with some experience, while McCown was signed as a potential starter.
Keenum had a great year on a very good team, but it's one that precisely no-one would ever have predicted.

The 20-20 hindsight on the original point in this thread is just plain silly.
Kill Mac.
Kill McCown.
Kill the Johnson’s.
Kill Bowles.
But Case Fucking Keenum? Who was Case Keenum last off-season?
A guy who’d bounced around 3 different teams in 4 years and was on the street again.
A nobody.
Minny signed him as a backup. Never intended for him to play.
If we had signed Case Keenum last off-season folks here would have DESTROYED Mac.
Because he all of a sudden played lights out after being handed the opportunity NOW folks are claiming they wanted him?
You gotta be kidding me.

If we signed Keenum the Vikes would have signed McCown and this thread would be titled, "Josh McCown another example why Mac should be fired."

If we signed Keenum the Vikes would have signed McCown and this thread would be titled, "Josh McCown another example why Mac should be fired." Change “Case Keenum” to Brian Hoyer or Matt Barkley or Blaine Gabbert or Chase Daniel or Mike Glennon or Matt McGloin or Ryan Mallett or Christian Ponde lr or Austin Davis or Kellen Moore or TJ Yates and you would have the same reaction. They are all the same guy. Keenum just happened to have a break out few months. Is he getting $15 million in the off-season? _

Keemun at least is 27 or 28 and had some upside. Macc is a fatter version of idzik. Macc has done nothing to show he is the man for the job. He’s a mumbling bumbling dope.
