Ian Rapoport just tweeted that Claiborne resigns for 1 year / $7M. Man if we somehow end up with the honey badger we will have the best secondary in football

Cairo Santos, late of CHC, is our new kicker.
Looks very accurate but not a big leg. Better score those TDs Bowles.........

I know some salaries/contracts have not been released but I’m wondering how much the Jets have left to spend in FA? I’m guessing about $30M. $40M-ish. Can still create more cap if needed by releasing or trading Skrine, Kearney & Powell. Other guy who is trade bait is Carpenter. Decent player, but from what I have read, not a fit in a zone blocking scheme. He should have some value -- and interior OL is pretty deep in the draft.

Not sure who they could really pick up as an upgrade at this point. Especially with Josh Kline re-signing in Tennessee. I’ve heard/seen some people mention maybe taking Hernandez in Round 2, but I don’t know what kind of fit he is for a zone blocking scheme either. Dude is a 340 lb roadgrader. And I seriously doubt at this point that a guy like Wynn is still hanging around by #37. He could very well be a Top 25 selection. A scenario I wouldn’t mind is taking a kid like James Daniels from Iowa (perfect zone fit) and moving Long over to LG.

Secondary looks set with Claiborne back in the mix and I like the Williamson pickup as a younger upgrade over DD at MLB
Next stop should be adding the badger to replace Skrine and although I don’t like the dude I can’t stop myself imagining Suh on this team.
Suh and the Badger would put this defense over the top, all we would need is a pass rusher and can completely focus on the offense in the draft.

Kinda like Mo here? Pass.

I want the Badger anyway, Mac is insane if he doesn’t make a huge push for him.

Maybe his price drops now that the first wave of big money signings is done. Then we can kick Long back over to guard and look to move Carpenter. Similarly, this is a strong draft class at Center: Price, Daniels, Ragnow, Clapp. Long's flexibility to play guard gives us some additional options.

I'd take Vinny Curry over Suh. Curry is from jersey, fills a better need and will be cheaper.
