The sports world continues to spin off its axis over whether or not the Earth is flat. Geno Smith is the latest to entertain the theory.
The former Jets and Giants quarterback appeared to be buying into the conspiracy theory on Saturday when he tweeted, “I been studying this flat earth vs. globe thing… and I think I may be with Kyrie on this… b4 you judge do some HW but what do you guys think?”
Of course, Smith’s mentions began to flood with many fans telling him there is photographic evidence, but Smith cited photoshop as a reason not to believe it.
One person told Smith to walk to the edge of the Earth if it is indeed flat, to which Smith replied, “You can’t go there it’s restricted or I would.”
Smith, 27, said he was not fully on board with the theory and that he just thinks it is good to “question science.”

How many of the people who undoubtedly know Earth is a globe also believe in the Big Bang theory & evolution?
“I’m not debating this topic,” he said. “I just want to see the responses..I think it’s a good conversation.”
He also added that “there’s arguments on both sides. I just think it’s better to hear different opinions than just to say it’s one or the other.”

I been studying this whole flat earth vs globe thing... and I think I may be with Kyrie on this... b4 you judge do some HW but what do you guys think?
Smith was not just questioning the roundness of the Earth, either, but also other scientific theories and facts.
“How many of the people who undoubtedly know Earth is a globe also believe in the Big Bang theory & evolution?” he wrote.
Smith follows the lead of Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving, who speculated the Earth was flat last year.
