Ed Kranepool, former NY Met, on Boomer and Gio. Guy is a diabetic and pleading for someone to donate a kidney to him. Also inviting people to come to his home to buy his memorabilia. Ooooooof....tough listen..doosh chills...Fuckin sad.
On the bright side, for Met fans, he eviscerated the Wilpons for ignoring all the older Met players and the teams history before they bought the team. Suggested that naming the Pavilion after Jackie Robinson showed they really wanted to be the Dodgers rather than the Mets, which is the first thing I thought when I visited Citi Field. If you didnt know the Mets played there, you would be hard pressed to guess which team..except for the Dodgers..played there.

On the subject title though, I’ve totally hit the wall. The smallest muscle tweak will linger for months. I was skiing last week and wiped out trying to save my 7 year old who flew past me and was careening out of control towards a fence. The fall wasn’t that bad (or maybe the adrenaline was pumping). I have A bruise the size of a soccer ball on my hip, it’s been 10 days and every day I get a different shade of maroonish bleh.

I still try to stay active, work out 4-5 times a week, ski etc....but everything aches, especially my shoulders lately. And trying to stay to flexible is becoming harder and harder...I make an "oof" noise just putting my socks on. As for skiing, I think I'm done with anything other than the easiest of slopes after this season. I freeze up and get tentative and you cant ski that way. Never used to be that way, think my brain is telling me "enough, old man". Very sobering driving home from a Massachusetts mountain last week knowing that it might have been my last time. I literally did one run, then took my skiis off and got a refund (they will give you one if you ski once and dont like the conditions). My wife thought I was nuts but I simply couldnt do it. Fuck Ed Kranepool.

He and his wife would come in all the time. Nice people. Always treated us nicely. Cancer keeps me from donating anything. Fuck cancer. Sorry Ed.

Fuck Ed Kranepool. The whole crash was hampur/Benny Hill worthy. I was out with the 9 and 7 year old. My son (9) is at the point we wants to go full blast down every slope, the daughter (7) gets easily scared and wants the easy slopes. So the bitching is non stop from one or the other because they wanted to take a different slope. I’m going out of my fucking my mind wanting to slice their throats with the edge of the skis My son was in front and goes directly to a lift I wasn't too confident about. I knew there were only 2 slopes at the top which would be difficult for my daughter. ..but I was so sick of the bitching and moaning I let it go thinking, I’ll take care of it up top, just have her follow me at very slow speed. Anyways we get up there, I tell her DO NOT pass me, do everything I do. Everything was fine then I hear her wailing “DDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDD” and wooosh she flies by me, her little head bobbing up and down as she was clearly not controlling anything. So I go after her fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck, she wipes out, so do I trying to avoid her….and this is where the fun started. She had wiped out in the middle of the steepest part of the slope, covered in ice. She lost a ski downhill and I went t get it but on the ice with the ski boots impossible not to slip..…anyone watching must have peed there pants. For 20 minutes everytime I climbed up to where she was, I’d fall and slide back down because of the ice. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD Climb back up, slip DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADD 20 minutes, I was sweating like a madman.

Oh its no secret the Wilpons, dad esp., have a boner for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He knew Branch Rickey from the neighborhood, and I think even Mrs Wilpon worked for Rickey. You'd think Wilpon thinks the Mets were founded in 1980, but hey, at least he got the state of the art stadium the Dodgers wanted 30 years prior! Sad to hear about Kranepool. My dad had the right idea, check out quick in your late 60s. None of this wasting away, diabetes, cancer, all that shit.
