FWIW, Alan Hahn said his sources are telling him that Rosen to the Jets is a lock. Said he's hearing it's going Allen, Darnold then Rosen in that order

I rewatched the draft that had Blaine Gabbert & Jake Locker last night. Smelled like Josh Allen. Upside my ass. I'm not trading up into top 3 for a hope. People wanna compare Josh Allen to guys like Brett Farve & Big Ben, but when you mention Drew Brees or even Russell Wilson with Baker Mayfield, people wanna freak out with "you can't compare him to those guys!". Double standards like crazy. People wanna harp on Baker's offense but not mention that Mahomes was in a more gimmicky offense. Bring up maturity issues like these cats aren't all coming from college. How do we know the other guys don't have maturity issues when the camera is off them? At least you know what you're getting with Baker. Better than a surprise domestic violence accident or something. "Maturity issues" doesn't equal "character issues". Teammates & coaches love him. 100% agreed Allen is not a instant starter he is a guy that will have to sit for at least a year or 2 The Jets don't have that luxury right now Mccown hasn't played a whole season and Bridgewater is not even ready for workouts his knee isn't 100% so its likely whoever is drafted will be starting this season. Every scouting report says that Allen has to sit a year or 2. As much as Allen pure upside would kill me to pass on him I would go Mayfield knowing that I don't have the option to sit him for a year. With Baker you know he can play the Jets could adjust to a more scheme offense to fit Bakers ability just like the Eagles did with Foles who played in a spread offense. Baker Is ready to play day 1 and should bring some real competition to camp. Hackenberg was considered a real physical specimen with generational arm strength but had footwork and accuracy issues would need a year or 2 to sit sounds like another Hackenberg plus Wyoming isn't even in the same class as Penn State competition wise that should make you think really hard about that one.

The more I think about this draft the more I think that all 4 are going to suck.

The more I think about this draft the more I think that all 4 are going to suck. Or all 4 will be the greatest ever. The NFL is due for one of these QB rich drafts - ‘83, 2004 and now. F it all.

Allen At the end of the day, Allen’s upside is too ridiculous to pass on in favor of a 6’0 QB with maturity concerns. This That being said, if we end up with Mayfield, I wouldn't mind either

I hear you, but I don't think the purpose of trading up was to get Mayfield. That being said, the Jets could end up with him if their preferred QB is gone, i.e., Darnold or Rosen. The loss of the 2nd rounder's is not good but is the cost of doing business and moving up for the preferred QB. If the Jets #1 and #1A are gone, then the fall back pick is Mayfield. It's not the worst thing to ever happen during a Jets draft...........

Keep in mind that if he sat at #6 and missed out on all 4, Mac is gone in principle before the season starts. They had to do it, and they may end up with Mayfield.
Honestly, this is a rare case where every Jets fan should be excited on draft day regardless of who is picked. Every single one of these guys has boom or bust potential, for varying reasons. We actually have the ability to think we got the right guy for the team regardless of who is picked - this isn't a case where it's either Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert / Christian Ponder / Jake Locker; where there's a clear standout. All four of these guys are "even" in terms of how they may ultimately impact the league, so it's a rare good spot for the Jets. Let's enjoy it.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. If there was a clear #1 I'd be a lot more upset about squeaking out some wins this season.
