For me, I think it's more the combo of the concussions, plus the shoulder injury, that is the concern with Rosen. He's not mobile and he may get hurt a lot in the NFL if he's not behind a great line. Mayfield just seems more solidly built for his size, and more able to avoid big hits with his mobility in the pocket. Mayfield had two concussions in less than two months. I'm not denying that. Any QB could get concussed, at any time. Mayfield has had two, others will also have had them. It's the body type/mobility thing that worries me most with Rosen. A non-mobile QB, with past shoulder issues (and those concussions) behind the Jets' line could be problematic.

I think it's hard because each has his flaws and I think their rating pre-daft and after 5 years in the league may be vastly different. For example, I have been so against Rosen, not because of his lack of skill, but because of his injury factor and especially the concussion issue. I think he will come out of the gate faster than the others... depending on where he goes. I don't wish anything bad on the kid but if I am a GM and my career is on the line... (read as Macc)... I would not touch him with a 10' pole. I think each of the other three could use more bench time. How much they need or get, depends on coaching and team. I think Darnold would do best to sit and get his footwork straightened out and get some film work and practice in to cut down on the INTs. I think Mayfield might come out of the box quickly as well but he would be better served to sit and watch for a while. Allen has great boom or bust potential. I know many think he will suck but I think if he is allowed to sit and learn... with good coaching, he has amazing potential. The big issue is that bad teams want their QBs to start ASAP. The whole sit and watch theme is overblown. The only recent case where it's panned out is Rodgers. I don't think there's any real merit to it unless your O line is horrendous and he'll get pounded à la David Carr. If he's good, he'll start showing it so throw him in the fire.

Darnold Rosen Allen Mayfield
The Top 2 hasn’t changed in a year.
Anyone who has Mayfield or Allen ahead of Darnold/Rosen is over thinking the fuck out of this.
Those two are the sacred prizes. Always have been.

Jets don't take Mayfield. Take it to the bank.

Seeing Darnold at the top of a lot of people’s lists. Can someone explain what I’m missing with him?
