Just a few months ago, at least 80% of this goddamn fanbase wanted to go 0-16 in order to get this kid. Now they’re pissing and moaning. You can’t make this shit up. I might nuke the board because these fucking bastards don't deserve Darnold. Im forever the fucking negative aashole 8 find something wrong with everyone and anything. And im happy as shit. Happier then Rosen. But if Rosen was the pick i would of been happy as Well. Not As happy as i am now but happy Don't nuke the board. Nuke the negative asshats instead.

Dorsey is one of the best GM's in football, but hopefully he was wrong here.

Not me, brother. Wanted no part of him from jump street. I get why people may be concerned about the turnovers, but I don’t get this silly anti-USC bias that a lot of people have. Darnold possesses every intangible quality that you can dream of and has a good (not great) arm and is an above average athlete who can improvise and throw off platform with better anticipation than any of these guys, including Mayfield. He also has that “it” factor where no situation is too big for him and you never feel like you’re out of a game with him behind center. This shit is glorious. I’m telling you, give him a chance. Yeah he's still skippy with that ball...he looks like buttchez holding a footlong. But you get the benefit of the doubt

We should be absolutely giddy that we got Darnold at 3 - and without giving up next year's #1 pick.
This is the guy who, last year, we were planning on going 0-16 to get or trading multiple 1st rounders for.
Yes, last year was not as good as anticipated for a whole host of reasons - loss of important players on O, scheme change, Darnold himself trying too hard and creating turnovers.
But the talent is clearly still upper tier. This guy elevates his team, he's a leader and a winner.
The price to be able to move up to get him (plus a valuable WR in Jermaine Kearse) was a year of Sheldon Richardson, plus two #2 picks. That could prove the greatest steal of all time.
And god bless the Giants for still believing in Eli and the running game.

We won the draft. Even I have to admit that. Best QB falls into your lap. We ate the canary. Its OK to smile.
But we won it on paper.
We know what happens when you bring grass into the equation. Hopefully the Gods have decided 50 years is enough suffering.

Yup... they pissed and moaned we blew our chance to Suck for Sam. And Im so tired of hearing the USC thing thrown out there - doesnt matter. His issues, they're correctable. What he does have, a lot of that CANT be taught.

But you get the benefit of the doubt He's been working with Jordan Palmer for the last three months to correct that shit and work on his delivery. All that stuff can be corrected. His pro day in the rain was the thing of boner-pants.

My big concern with Darnold is that he took all of his snaps from shotgun. Very little if any 5-7 step drop and throw footage on him. This I think is why I preferred Rosen over him, just seems to have a more pro-ready resume. Someone convince me that this isn't something to be concerned about.

Someone convince me that this isn't something to be concerned about.Well think about this for a sec : The NY Jets coaching staff is NOT going to coach/train Darnold to be able to do 5-7 step drops? It's not a problem unless the Jets coaching staff MAKES IT a problem which would be if they don't do anything to have Sam Darnold know and get comfortable in doing 5-7 step drop pass attempts. So no. This isn't something to be concerned about because I trust THIS coaching staff to develop Sam Darnold than I would've trusted the past coaching staffs that include a fatass-loudmouth who cared more about the Defense than the offense.
