Did the guy a favor... Will catch a look from someone. That's my take. Truthfully, I think he's better than what we saw here.

If Petty was given a fair shot, he'd have had a chance to go down as one of the all time greats. Its a luxury for sure having two franchise QB's as backups. well, now one. Petty will be picked up by the pats and win 3 Super Bowls on his way to the HOF.

Guy was able to sit for 3 years, eventually got his chance, and looked like poop on a stick. At least there is a bit of an unknown factor with Hackenberg. I honestly think Bridgewater’s knee is completely fucked and Hack is going to make the team. I hope not. I want Hackensuck out. Rather pickup someone who may actually be able to get on the field as the 3rd QB if Teddy’s knee isn’t right. Let Hack go kick rocks. Trade him to gettlemen for a pretzel and bag of donuts.

They will wait and see how Bridgwater’s knee is. If he is not ready by training camp, he’s gone. While they are waiting for his to get ready, they will see if Hack miraculously figured out how not to suck so bad that they would consider using him in a meaningless game.
I do not have high hopes for either one.

Remember when everyone here wanted to see Bryce Petty play? Remember the feeling of how STUPID YOU FUCKS ALL FELT AFTERWARD?

Maybe if Bridgewater is healthy and another teams loses a QB, we could get a pick for him. As for Hack, there is absoutley no reason for him to be on the roster. We have our QB of the future and its not Hack. Hack is not a rookie, but the guy has never played. Our CS does not need to be spending resource developing two guys. Darnold is the guy, nothing should distract from his development. McCown or Bridgewater is the veteran on the roster. Hack serves no purpose. Not on the roster. Not on the practice squad.

Remember when everyone here wanted to see Bryce Petty play? I felt from the beginning Petty's ceiling was a backup QB. I wanted to see him get some garbage time to confirm that. I still think in the right situation he could wind up being a serviceable backup. Hell, there's a lot of 2nd and 3rd string QBs bouncing around the league. A young kid who works hard, like Petty apparently does, should catch on somewhere.

Hack should strictly be the 4th guy in camp, in hopes maybe someone offers a late round pick for him, else you cut him. I see no reason or value in keeping him around. If you trade Bridgewater, you can always find a 3rd stringer somewhere after cuts.

The only way rosy cheeks makes this roster is if Macc is stubborn to prove a point and Teddy’s knee breaks off in camp.
