My guess is we will find out if there were any warning signs with this kid. And thats another thing we need to keep in mind. 22 is the new 14. They have grown ass man bodies but the minds of foolish kids.

12 arrests. Since the end of the 2014 season -- when Macc became GM of the team. 12. Most in the NFL. GB is 2nd at 10 and then no other team has more than 7. In fairness, some of those arrests proved to be nothing when charges were dropped, but you could say the same about other teams. 125 arrests of NFL players in total since the end of 2014. An average of 4 per team. We are at 12. 4 of those since the end of last season. No other team has more than 2.
Is it just bad luck? Or does it say something about how we scout player's backgrounds off the field.? I really don't know the answer.

Or does it say something about how we scout player's backgrounds off the field. I believe this team abandoned "Character" as a consideration back when Rex was around. I bet a savvy GM and the right coach could field an entire team of undrafted FA's and win. I think we've seen God-given talent is not a predictor of character or success. |
