You're not serious, right? There's no way the Jets will go winless. I'm totally kidding. I think they'll be somewhere around 7-9. A lot will be dependent on who starts at QB and when. We shall see. But, on the plus side, for the first time in like 7 years there's actually something to be excited and interested about in this team. The snooze fest of the past is over and it will be intriguing no matter what. I'll actually want to watch the games this year. That's a win already. Well, even that is actually quite optimistic. A 2 win improvement in a 16 game schedule is a dramatic improvement. Why do you feel that way? Just curious, what has Mac and Toilet done that makes you think this team is on the right path?

They went 5-11 with the worst talent in the league last year. They have a potential rookie franchise QB, another young franchise QB if healthy, improved the secondary even more with Trumaine, some potential at WR, younger RBs (after ending the old Forte debacle). So, there’s some hope they can be a little better than las year. Also, Brady’s a year older and the dolphins didn’t really improve too much.

Sometimes I forget how much they surprised teams thinking they were in for a cupcake game. They played way better than pretty much everyone thought. So point taken. But I just don't see they improved 2 wins by adding a CB? By my way of thinking all of the rest of their moves did not make the team any better. Just insured they'd stay 5-11. You have to remember the Jets defense sucks now. Toilet has allowed the defense to slip badly. The 25th defense with a virtually depleted DL will mean regardless of a sole improvement in CB, the overall will still give up shocking amounts of yardage in the running game.

A lot will be dependent on who and how good the QB is (a breakout star in the making Darnold or a comeback player of the year bridgewater) and how the WR Corp plays. If it all goes rite (Enuwa back and healthy, Robby Anderson even better and not in jail, Pryor of 2016, Kearse solid again) then they will be better than last year. However, if everything doesn’t break rite (and we are talking abut the Jets here so that is a major possibility / probabliluty) then they may be worse than last year. At least I’m interested to c how it goes, because the last 3 years I couldn’t give a damn. Macc is to blame for the lame roster and complete lack of playmakers. Unless Julio Jones and Barry Sanders fall into his lap at 6, he is incapable of picking offensive talent to surround the rookie QB with.

I think many are missing what I see to be a glaring wweakness, that is the run defense. The Jets have a depleted DL with smallish type linebackers. How are they going to stop the run? Leonard Williams will be doubled on every play and rendered ineffective. This kid they just drafted will be lost in that rookie learning curve. Pulling Guards will get to the second level where they will toss Darron Lee aside like dirty laundry. This defense is going to give up on average this season about 125 yards per game. The improvement Mac made in the secondary won't matter. Opponents will play smashmouth football with us and win with ease.

All in all, I just think this front office has no idea what they're doing. Even worse no matter how many times they fail, they have unlimited get out of jail free cards from CJ.

How about we see what we look like after the preseason? Sure. You got it. But I'm just telling you ahead of time this team is more than likely 5-11 again. The team is garbage and Mac thinks it's wonderful.

Made a good decision about the season today ... in order to effectively deal with the Jets performance this season instead of attending the two or three or four home games I usually go to I am going to watch those games from Rutt's Hut! A few Rippers with their special sauce, their chili, and onion rings, washed down with a number of cold ones will really do the trick ... also, won't have to deal with leaving the parking lot. Only food close to a ripper are the sausage sandwiches at Johnny's Hots in Philly ... any of you guys ever go there? Google Johnny's Hots and look at the images.
