I have to come up there and remove a retaining wall my uncle and I put in 40 years ago. It is made of rail road ties. How do I get rid of them up there. Where the heck do they go,. The house is in Sound Beach. Between age and the last few storms it has really knocked the snot out of the walls.
Thanks
Thought I was in the Hampur. Can one of our illustrious Mods move this to the Hampur. Thankee.

Why don't you shove them up your ass? This was helpful but certainly not optimal

rent a home depot truck and load it up, then drive around looking for street level railroad crossings in the middle of the night and dump them alongside the tracks

Cut them in to smaller pieces and throw them in the trash every week.

Either call Joel Rifkin for advice or do what any other normal person would do, take it to the closest dump. Most tipping fees won't cost more than $35-$40 a ton and many have no weight restrictions for residents. Where I live I can dump as much as I can fit into a pick-up for $5.25.

This is exactly what I was thinking but being Long Island I am concerned it will cost 525.00 per pickup. Place is a complete ripoff.

can you call your local Sanit Dept for a special pickup? Ours is free and they take almost anything...
