Toon was the better athlete and made amazing grabs. Walker was steady eddy and always made the big play. Some of he biggest in fact and had a longer better careeer. Both great.

Loved both players but if I could only have one, it probably would have been Toon. I always thought that on the right team, he could have been a HOFer.

I think Wesley Walker has been criminally underrated, inlcuding by Jet fans.
The guy was a big play machine throughout his career. He is one of just 6 WRs in history with 8,000+ receiving yards, 70+ TDs and average over 18 yards per catch. 4 of the other 5 are in the HOF. Toon was great, but he was more of a move the sticks guy than a deep threat. Give me the big play guy everyday.
I am probably in the minority, but I am taking Wesley.

I am old enough to have seen both play. Both were fantastic but I'd also go with WW over Toon.

Wesley Walker. The guy was legally blind in one eye but still tore it up every Sunday.

I certainly never underrated Walker. I was a big fan. I will always love him if only for his 2 catches against Miami in the 51-54 game back in 1986. Granted, he had a huge fumble late in that game but then had those two kick ass TDs. One in the final 3 minutes to tie the game and then the game winner in OT. Me and my buddy worked that morning and then made a last minute decision to go to that game. It was classic Jets / dolphins football. I believe at the time, it was the highest scoring game in NFL history.

WW had all the clutch moments; Toon so many highlights died in vain

Tooooooooon!
to be fair I've never seen WW play but Toon was one of the guys that made me fall in love with the game. I got into football because of him Jeff Lageman, Dennis Byrd and Kyle Clifton on the 90 team where there wasn't much to love. Toon was the third most graceful athlete I've seen on any sport after Rice and Zidane. If not for the concussions and the crap teams he was on he would've been a surefire hall of famer.

The early/mid 80s teams w/ both Walker (and then Toon at the end) were a lot better. Made the playoffs 4 times in 6 years. Those Lageman/Byrd/Clifton teams were pretty horrible. Basically the team was terrible from '87 - '97. The dark days. Almost as bad as now (the last 7/8 years)! (
