I'm thinking the Jets are going to have to bring in another QB for finishing up shit time in these pre season games. Do we really want any of the three QBs we have to finish garbage time next week or for any of them to play past the first quarter in the forth pre season game? John Wolford from Wake Forest was in rookie camp and looked pretty good. Could be time to bring him in just to be safe. One of our three gets dinged up and who is going in to finish mop up time behind the third and forth stringers on the O-Line?

We trade Bridgewater, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to have a fourth QB. No sense playing these guys the entire game. McCown is going to be on the team no matter what. Darnold is the future and Bridgewater is an excellent trade chip. If McCown got hurt, we would not be able to trade Teddy. The on,y issue is wasting a roster spot on a guy that will never make the team.

Dump one of our 100 WR's we have on the roster and bring in a QB that is hopefully worthy of a Practice Squad designation. I don't ever want to see Darnold playing in the second half of any more pre season games(unless it's the third game) . We've already been burned by playing a starter in a meaningless game in the past with the Sanchize.

Welcome back. Stay out of the poli forum and life is good. 🤣 The politics and the wing nut stuff here don't bother me. I like the back and forth. If that stuff bothered me, i shouldn't be on the internet.

Not only I would bring in a 4th QB, but I would already be putting out feelers out to gauge the trade value for Bridgewater. It would be nice to know how much interest there is out there at this point. I’m sure GMs are still concerned with his health and ability to hold up up to hits. So Bridgewater needs to keep playing the preseason games like he did last night. If he doesn’t have much trade value, we might as well keep him. But it would be great to see his trade value go up and get a decent return for him rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the year.

don't underestimate the power of the snoopster trophy!
Totally agree don't put Sam and Teddy out there with third string a la Sanchez. But let them kick some butt with the first string for a quarter or two. We need to know now if Teddy is the glassman some here claim. as for Sam, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

If we can get a day 2 pick for Teddy, then I think we gotta move him. Anything below that, I am holding on to him -- at least until the trade deadline. And if Case Keenum and Paxton Lynch struggle next week like they did last night, then if I am Macc, I am getting on the phone with Elway. Still can't believe Denver passed on Rosen at 5 last April.

Keenum will be the starter no matter what. We need a team that is playoff bound to have their qb injured. Then we get a one for bridgewater.

Don't understand the rush to trade Bridgewater. Especially the fascination with 1st round crapshoots when (potentially) we have a known entity. If he turns out better then Sam you don't trade him just because we invested a fortune in Sam. Either one, if both are star quality, will be worth plenty 2 years down the road. And QBs do get hurt. How many of the 1st round picks below were worth a Superbowl quality QB? Where would Philly be if they didn't have 2 great QBs?
10 years of 1st round picks: 2008 6 Vernon Gholston 30 Dustin Keller 2009 5 Mark Sanchez 2010 29 Kyle Burnt Toast Wilson 2011 30 Muhammad Wilkerson 2012 16 Quinton Coples 2013 9 Dee Milliner 13 Sheldon Richardson 2014 18 Calvin Pryor 2015 6 Leonard Williams 2016 20 Darron Lee 2017 6 Jamal Adams 2018 3 Sam Darnold
